I have a question for anyone installing a DSC in a 991.1 coupe. After folding down the seats I tried to pry up the carpet as instructed, but the carpet is stuck at both ends. I can pry up real hard, but I'm afraid of breaking something.

You're trying to make a tent ^ shape to clear the carpet over the seat-back fastening points on the sides.

I have a 2016 991.1 C2S PDK, SC I daily drive in "Sport" mode and with PASM shock icon button on. Zero track or Autocross use, nor do I plan to. Handling is just fine for me but I wouldn't say no to a smoother ride over potholes, etc. I can sense zero difference in daily or spirited driving difference with shock icon button on or off. Do I really need a DSC control module?
Thanks in advance.

Something doesn't sound right here. Before I installed my DSC there was a pretty substantial difference between my "normal" and "sport"(light on) with my PASM button. The factory PASM is 20% firmness in Normal and 80% in Sport. Sport was too much of a static stiffness for normal driving.

I keep it on Sport all the time now with the DSC. Now my stiffness is 5% in Normal which feels just as smooth as my Acura daily driver, and fluctuates on its own from 20-100% stiffness in Sport depending on G's/Speed/ect. I was a skeptic until I installed it.

Very interesting. Thanks for your input. Recent PPI at dealership showed zero issues. Car is not modified, clean bill of health. 40K miles. The impact I feel over rough roads in normal vs sport does not feel like 20/80 at all. Your review/explaination of the DSC is the best I've read. Thank you.
BTW, I run my new Michelin tires in comfort setting so that's not a factor nor am I new to firm-riding sports cars. I think you may have convinced me to get a DSC. Thank you.

Honestly, I do have Techart Springs so that may be the biggest factor here that allows me to feel it more. However with DSC my normal now feels softer than a completely stock 911. What I like about the DSC is that it's not just a static setting like the factory PASM. I beleive the range is Normal 5-80% and Sport 20-100% out of the box. It changes each corner of the car in real time and takes in something around 400 readings a second (don't quote me on that, I'm sure one of the DSC reps have that exact number). For example; Without touching a single button, you can be cruising down the road and the car has you at 5% stiffness (in normal) eating up all the little things, and then you realize you're about to miss your street to turn on.. The second you jerk that wheel your driver side shocks stiffen up instantly up to 80% and you hit that turn with no body roll like it was on rails, and second you straighten out and cruise it goes back into its own comfort settings. The thing that blew my mind is its performance on a track. On a right turn it'll firm up the left side and leave your passenger front wheel extremely soft to that when your tire hit any strip it won't bounce the car out of wack. There is a usual on-ramp I take and my comfortable speed was always around 50 before I kind of felt there was a tire screech approaching. I took it the other day and the car just wanted more, the body roll wasn't there and it just kept going. I do it by feel, and when I was getting off the apex I looked down and it was 69 vs my usual 50-52. Maybe it just inspired more confidence? Who knows. I run 32f/38r cold tire temps, and it evens out to 35f/41r once they get to normal driving temp.

This is really cool and I'd never thought about it. Definitely higher priority mod now!

Another cool feature was when breaking. If you slam on your breaks the front stiffen up and dramatically lowers the amount of nose dive. It does the same when a Launch Control is initiated by firming up the rears. Incredible stuff for the money. I'm not sure why Porsche doesn't program theirs to do something similar.

Thanks so much. I installed it and getting the large plug off was a challenge. I ended up using a little bit of lubricant on the plastic and working it back and forth until it released all the way.

I enjoy it much more on this GTS coupe vs the GTS cab I had before. In fact the coupe has quite a different feel all the way around. I love it. I think that given the cost and simplicity of installation, the DSC Controller is a flat-out must-have. Period.

BUY THE DSC. I just put on my 991.2 and it's BY FAR the most amazing mod i've put on the car. It completely transforms the car and it's the way it should've came from the factory. The ride is SO much more compliant and frankly - LOVELY on comfort mode and when you put it into Sport? my god. Unbelievable.

I have so many friends that have this installed, and love it. Night and day difference.

I just installed the DSC on my 991.2 C4. Having done similar on my previous 997 TT, I expected a similar dramatic difference in both settings. Unfortunately, I notice no significant changes. Not sure how that is possible. I get no CEL. Thoughts?

Is this a new 2023 controller that you have? Did you drive the car in different conditions such as bump roads at normal speed, smooth twisty roads at spirited pace, or hard braking? If not, might have to drive the car more with DSC controller to realize the difference. I notice the difference right away when I do installs for local customer and we do before/after drives. We are very fortunate to have roads nearby that have combinations of bumps, elevations changes, and fun twisty sections that immediately highlights the awesome dynamic characteristics with DSC controller.
