I had the DSC Sport controller for my GT4 and quite frankly it's the only thing that helped me enjoy the car for as long as I had it. Now I've moved on to a 911 50th. I doubt it makes as much of a difference as it did for my teeth jarring GT4, but if it makes daily driving feel more compliant then I'm all for it. So the stock unit is set up for any 991.1, including those with PDCC?

Glad you liked the DSC Sport controller on your GT4. You can use the same DSC Sport controller from your 981 GT4 on your 991.1 50th. I think you'll like the DSC GT3 Tour calibration file on your 991.1.

unfortunately I sold it. Initially didn’t think I needed it. Still don’t think it’s as essential but will probably go for it once again. Any repeat customer discounts? 100% disabled vet? Senior citizen? I can keep going!

I too will have the B16's with a small amount of lowering (20mm has been suggested).
Would you have recommend alignment specs?
TY!

I'd glad to. Presuming for high performance street with occasional track use:

Front camber -1.7
Front toe + 6' per wheel
Rear camber -2.0
Rear toe +14' per wheel

Has there been any improvements since then? Should I up date to that one, or is there no need?

Dejan really knows what he's doing, so if he made a custom file to your car and you are happy with the way the car performs then I would stay with it.

if I order a new controller, can you load the GT3 tour calibration file for me? No one in the household has any windows operating systems. I don’t remember there being a way to make such a request when ordering.

Hey Tom what calibration should I use for a 987.2 Boxster S with B16 Damptronics and with stiffer front springs?

We should have a reddit-style vote up/down uploads of our DSC calibration files for spring rates, sway bar stiffness/PDCC settings, tires, tire pressure, so people can give feedback on the calibrations that work best for them.

I have a bunch of calibrations I've been working on, trying to improve around town handling, and will at some point start a new thread about this. As Tom often says, it's hard to satisfy everyone because around-town handling is such a personal preference. On the track, I found the 991 Sport Tractive map works best. The Normal Tractive map causes way too much front-forward bounce on my setup (390/670 lb-in springs, GT3-style sway bars, 32/39psi cold), so I am using my own map for SF roads.

If you're interested in tweaking your maps, you don't need a windows computer - I use a Mac with Windows running in Parallels (you could also use VMware Fusion).

Tosha,
Great idea. I’ve only had the DSC unit installed for two weeks and I’m interested in getting the best settings I can. Started changing a few things in comfort mode of the 991|981 standard file. My objective right now is to get the best day to day comfort and performance. The standard 991 comfort settings have already made a big difference in around town driving.
Hopefully I’m loading and trying the GT3 touring file this weekend.
Bought a new battery for my MacBook Pro. So I can bring the laptop with me on my next day trip. I’ve got windows 10 running in VMWare VirtualBox.

The standard DSC file for 987 works very well with B16.
If you are using stiffer sway bars such as the TPC Racing sway bars then use the DSC file for 997.1 GT3/RS. It may sound wrong but its not. All the DSC calibration files command the dampers to 100% during peak load, the difference is the shape of the curve to approach the peak.
