I just love the T and drive it whenever I can, not sure if I would do that with a GT3...

Not sure if anyone is following this, but there's a T on Bring a Trailer right now. This will go for all the money and drive prices up even higher (it's a high $ spec, but not perfect): https://bringatrailer.com/listing/20...1-carrera-t-2/

Might be prudent to wait a few more days to list your T until after this auction closes.
Wow that cars is only a few years old, only has 8k miles but already 3 owners. Guess no one wants to hang on to it for some reason.

Or someone wants to turn a profit while the market is high. I wouldn't read too much into that - just look at GT3 ownership. It's not uncommon to see 6+ owners on a 991.1 GT3.

I was window shopping at Porsche South Bay (LA) and saw a GT Silver T, PDK on sale for $119,000. Sport tex seats with yellow interior package and metal sunroof. That’s all I could see from my quick walk around. I think it had around 1300 miles. Parked outside.

The market for the T's just leveled up. Check the listing sites tonight for the market correction.

I told my service advisor this morning that this car could go for $120k and I got it on the nose. He was shocked to hear what it might be valued at, and now he might start calling me the P-car Prophet.

Great to see, and also kind of glad it didn't reach the kind of absurd value where I would start questioning actually drivingthe thing

The values are certainly getting there. Keep in mind the $5k buyers fee on top of the $120k. What would be an absurd value for you, just curious?

Perhaps if the colors weren't so polarizing it could have gone for higher... Lava / yellow isn't everyone's cup of tea.

GT silver T owner playing devil’s advocate. Maybe it went for more $$ because it was lava orange. Person who purchased it may have had no interest in silver, white, black.🤔 I do think people who purchase a color like that are crying out for attention.🤣🤣

LOL - I agonized over whether I could live with a yellow T at first, I was late to the game and mine was one of the 2 new T's left on the lot in late 2019 and it had a killer spec (manual, slicktop, T interior, RAS, sport design). It's one of those colors that really grows on you though. I don't really care for attention per-se - it only ever goes out at dawn when there aren't cyclists and priii clogging the fun mountain roads, it's never seen a C&C - but a hot color feels more special somehow and it really seems to suit the car. I don't think it's a coincidence that most of Porsche's promotional material around the T was with a RY one.

As for what makes an absurd value, that's a fair point. If everything's price is going up at the same rate, it doesn't really matter. It would only become absurd if I could easily sell it and trade into something a class above its intrinsic fun/capability. Take for example the 32,000 mile 996 base Carrera that sold for $52K. I'm sure there's some collectability / speculation value in having an early 996, but $52K would get me into a pretty nice 981 Cayman or maybe a 997 that I would enjoy driving more, even if it didn't hold as much value.

I like the yellows, oranges, blues etc.. Boring if nothing but silver, black, white etc. on the streets. New owner got a nice T and will enjoy. Cheers!🍺

Absurd value = https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/0...-c86f1f426825/

yep, it’s official the Porsche world is getting crazy, cool car though and like I’ve said previously to me closely represents the ethos of the T in a modern-ish Porsche.

[Still should probably sell… and buy that vacation home.. but that home is just as overpriced rn as used 991 prices]

In #becauseracecar news… i finally installed my race wheels. Looks great! I even switched the Ferodo pads from street/track DS2500 to the track DS1.11!!! Anyone from Seattle PCA going to be at ORP this weekend?

It's only absurd if someone pays it. ;-) Great cars and that one looks immaculate. Modern T is definitely a derivation of the R IMO as well. I really wish we'd had more color options...

Gorgeous T! Do you know how much weight the Forgelines and AP Racing brakes save?

I’m going with Litespeed GT7 forged magnesium wheels and the same brakes as you.
