Has anyone tried repairing our wheels? Can it be done well? Apparently a rock got stuck between my caliper and inside of my rim:

I've repainted quite a few rock chips on my rears, but nothing to that extent. I'm sure it can be addressed as wheel tech is pretty amazing these days. And much cheaper than replacing. Good luck!

^^^ A disadvantage of the PCCBs with their large discs/rotors

Did it make an alarming noise when the rock got caught there?

Not really. Had the windows up then heard a scraping sound at 35mph when I went around a turn circle. Very similar to dragging a small stick by the undercarriage, definitely something wrong but not a screeching or grinding sound. I Immediately pulled over and started trying to figure it out. I never found the rock as it must have dislodged when I pulled over.

by the way, Suncoast replacement titanium rim costs $1,970.70....and takes 5-6 weeks to ship from Germany and then additional time from Suncoast.

@Wing Commander A rock got stuck between one of my PCCB rotors and the dust shield and it made the most god awful squealing noise I think I've ever heard. It sounded similar to cash being lit on fire, I imagine. A few hard stomps on the brake pedal jostled it loose, but for about 5 minutes I thought I might die.

Thanks. I’ve heard others report similar, which is why I asked the question.

I've had rocks stuck with both iron (S Brakes) and PCCB, so it isn't just a ceramic thing... Each time it has happened, I immediately stopped, reversed, and that forced the rocks out. Thankfully no significant damage ever and here is hoping my luck keeps.

Main issue with mine is that every drive leaves me in a state of joyful delirium.
