Same thing happened with the 987.2 Spyder.
I may be wrong but this car may end up being a similar situation.

It’s official, Carrera T is the new GT3 Touring.
In all seriousness, I think it’s a product of the market now realizing that this is a rare special edition 911, combined with covid luxury goods demand (see rolex prices) as well as the lack of 992 availability and price premium for the new cars.
The pricing for that car at 107k is a bit jarring (especially when I have basically the same spec) but I’m not going to be afraid to drive mine anytime soon. I may be swayed to sell mine though!

I was looking for a new, off the lot T with manual, no sunroof, RAS in late in 2019. There was only one for sale anywhere, and it was Racing Yellow.
I nearly passed on it, and before I saw it, I would have said for sure that yellow was a no-go color for me. My Cayman was silver and my previous 911 was Black. Before that, I had either silver or black on most of my other cars.
I'm not a particularly extroverted person, and living in the SF Bay Area I had this feeling that yellow sports cars would be perceived a lot more negatively here than they would be in, say, Miami.
However the spec was so good I decided to go take a look.
As you can tell by my profile pic, after seeing it in the metal I was smitten, and I haven't regretted the choice for a second!
Yes, to be fair it's a weekend car and not something I would be pulling up in at the office, but there's something very right about bright colors on enthusiast cars.
Before you rule it out, see if you can check one out in person.

Nice to see that at least for now folks are coming around to the T.
When I bought it, I had to defend my intentional choice over an S or GTS or even a base to a few people.
I stick with my statement. I drove all of these configurations. The T is cool to me and was an obvious different feeling car on the road. I could car less what it says on paper.

I decided to drive mine to work today, temps are a bit chilly but the roads and forecast are clear. 2nd time driving it since I got it. Looking forward to warmer temps so I can really start to enjoy this car.
