That T reminds me of the 997.2 GTS. Gorgeous.

No comparison...

both very good, but very different.

993 is more like artwork (to me) its just everything a 911 should be - size, shape, etc.
fast for 23 years ago, but not compared to a modern 911.

the T is modern, notchy gearbox, fast

the turbos on the T gave it low end torque where you need to really wind the 993 NA 3.6 out about 5k to make real power

I told myself I loved the buckets - they are beautiful but the truth was my back killed me after a long drive - I have back problems though.

Would have loved to keep both!

I actually prefer the 997.2 body over the 991.2 But the T (for me) was better than my 997.2 GTS.

this picture may remind you of the 997 GTS because the badge on the door is from the 997 GTS.
i just removed the G and the S

I thought the same about the buckets in my GT4 beautiful in every way apart from actually sitting in them! My T has the normal seats and they are so comfortable in comparison.

Beautiful 993🤓

Congratulations! She is a beauty! Nice ones are getting harder and harder to find, especially the S models.

Just picked up a '97 C2 last week, after a fairly long seach, and feel the same way. Nice assessment of differences. Have the buckets and find them reasonably comfortable but a hassle to get in and out of them.

Porsche got it right with the 993. There is something special about the 993 that creates an emotional response. It is hard to completely capture in words but has just the right amount of vintage and modern characteristics. I think every car enthusiast should own a 911 at least once in their life and every 911 enthusiast should own a 993 once.

Am fortunate to be able to add her to our current stable and she will share time with the T and GT4. They are all great, not perfect, but great in their own ways. I have thoughts of letting one go at different times but my "farewell drive" ends up changing my mind lol and am ridiculously lucky to have an understanding and encouraging wife who tells me I should keep them.

Congrats again and also to all of us fortunate enough to own any 911 or any Porsche for that matter.

Btw, great garage!

Seems like I overtook you somewhere along the way, Commander. I just passed 34000 miles last week. I wonder if I have the highest mileage T in this thread now

Also debating whether I should get the Fidelity warranty before it hits 35k. Any opinions?

Default Got the 911T !!

Hey Guys,

Flew to Phoenix Friday with my son. Porsche North Scottsdale Picked us up , and behold. This car is amazing , we drove back to San Diego about 450 miles , opened up the flat 6 on the 10 and hauled ***. Took the back road up behind Palm Springs - some nice up hill twisties- could feel the Torque Vectoring, and the PCCB's really work well . Im over the moon.

I feel dang lucky finding this particular T . The spec is just about perfect , and checked my most important 3 boxes- manual , sunroof, 4 way seats. That coupled with Carrera T interior with Speed Yellow trim , PCCB , and other goodies - Dang , Pinch me!!!

Love it! Welcome aboard the T train!!

I got out for a nice spring day today. (Sorry, no time for pictures.) The PNW is going off ‘summer mode’.

My next track weekend is in four weeks, prep includes:
I ordered me a new 2020 helmet in Carbon. (After a long track day, i feel the weight savings might help the neck.)
I am thinking of birthday-presenting-myself a Garmin Catalyst. (Yes, there is a pretty good thread here.)

New parking space for the cars is almost done. Cabinets are going in next but not on this side of the garage....

It's industrial strength epoxy. I'm not sure of the name of the product but I can ask the guys who installed it what it is.
It was a long process. Ground the entire floor to have a good surface to adhere to. Then epoxy crack filler and wait a day to dry. Then apply "clear primer" as the base coat, wait a day to dry. Then apply color coat and flakes and wait a day to dry. Oh and make sure you dont get any sunlight on the primer or color coat as they will yellow. Last but not least apply the UV top coat\sealer. Dont walk on it for 48 hours and dont park on it for 10 days. What a pain. Supposedly I will get 10 years out of it. I hope so based on the cost. (A little under $7k for an 1100 sq ft garage.)

Oh and this guy came in for shelter at the wrong time:

Completely stuck from tail to chest. Only head movement.

Managed to free him with a plastic spoon!

He lost a few scales but lived to tell the tale!!!
