...a GT3 is very easy to keep in the correct power band on a technical track.
and no. a canyon drive is not the street version of a technical track. the challenge with a canyon is you don't have road to use. you're stuck inside the lane. which is simply a balance and grip proposition. a GT3 would do significantly better due to more downforce keeping you balanced within the confines of the lap markings, as well as far more mechanical grip.
but you are correct in your last statement. if you are driving a GT3 largely on the street, you don't need to spend the extra money.

As far as the unskilled driver comment, if you are ever out on the west coast, look me up. I'm the treasurer for the So Cal Lotus Club and we run our own events and cap driver count at 45 total, with three run groups of 15. I'll happily take a friendly gentlemen lap challenge in a T and we'll see who's the more skilled driver. Hell, I'll even let you drive my T to ensure it's apples to apples. BTW, you wreck it, you buy it!

I never said it wasn't easy to keep in its correct power band. To recap, all the comments made here haven't been that the GT3 isn't a great car, most comments and certainly mine have just emphasized that at slower speeds (i.e, like in turns), the cars aren't that far apart. Also, on highly technical courses or really twisty canyon drives, the added aero on the GT cars give nominal advantage (I agree largely mechanical grip or stickier tires). Again, this is why I state that on twisties, the cars are quite comparable. Let's face it, anyone can hit the gas on a straight, but the real fun is in turns!

my point was just what i said before. there's no point in comparing them, because they are different cars that serve very different purposes.
like i said, T is the swiss army knife. GT3 is the scalpel. the scalpel is great, until you need a screw driver or scissors to do what you're doing.

Agreed, no battle here, just a friendly discussion. BTW, I would still encourage you to come out to one of our events. The super low car count makes it feel like you rented the track for yourself.

Also, I think your car is mostly stock? Would be interesting to hear your car and F1SML8R together side-by-side as he has equal length headers.

Starting a new thread for the T owners.
Mine is white, LWB, 7MT. Arrives in June.
send me your info and I will start a spreadsheet. Maybe less of these than the GT3 cars.
Cool. Do you know a place in Houston where I can get a perm? My preference is to use the smallest rollers possible.Mine is white, LWB, 7MT. Arrives in June.

Can you guys remind me, or is there still a way to see the way you could build or spec a T, but if spec'ing Miami Blue seatbelts, could you keep the silver T interior package, or were the Miami Belts only available with the black interior option?

That is hilarious! I read this stuff before and was thinking "what the heck is going on here? Did I miss something? Are these guys just weirdos......."
I was going to post it but then was thinking I would offend someone....
Too funny!
