It’s at a small independent dealer (so take with a grain of salt) but seems to be a good price for a manual T with T interior (no vin listed so can’t see other options). $89.9k

Funny to see there are only 3 manual Carrera T’s nationwide on car gurus and all are black. The manuals are proving to be a rarity in the for sale ads. Which is inverse of the actual production numbers

Looks like:

BASE 911 Carrera T
A1 Black
090 Carrera T Interior Package
425 Rear Wiper
509 Fire Extinguisher
540 Deletion of Rear Window and Rear Side Windows in Lightweight Glass
581 Luggage net in passenger footwell
583 Smoking package
603 Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS)
630 Light Design Package
658 Power Steering Plus
748 Power Folding Exterior Mirrors
9VL Bose Surround Sound System
EFA Pedals and footrest in Aluminum
QH1 Voice Control
QR5 Chrono Package with Porsche Track Precision App
WL Carrera T Interior Package, Contrasts in Racing Yellow
XDK Wheels Painted in Black Satin
XGL Sport Chrono Clock Dial in Racing Yellow
XYB Fuel Cap with Aluminum Look Finish

The deletion of lightweight glass is kind of a bummer, but it’s still a relatively lightweight build e.g. no PDK, no sunroof.

I just bought a manual T that didn't even have time to get onto the dealer website, let alone cargurus etc. I was lucky to find it on the Porsche National Preowned site and I bought it within a few hours of it showing up there. Dealer had it for less than 24 hours. I'll post more about it once it is on the truck on the way to me next week.

+1 for the Porsche national preowned site. That’s where I found mine and it will also let you know if it’s cpo.

Congrats! Similar story to mine. I found it through AutoTempest on a Saturday night. It hadn’t shown up when I had searched earlier that day. I called the dealer right after the opened on Monday morning and put down a deposit. It was probably on the market for only a few hours (dealer was closed Sunday).

I’m sure most of us have heard of the 992 Carrera T coming, is anyone here considering switching? I’m a solid “no” but curious on T army opinions.

For a 992 T, no. Maybe a 992 GT3 but not for 2x the price of my T. The 991.2 T is the ultimate value for me. I am contemplating moving to a GT4 or a 991.2 GT3 but neither are as good street cars as the T and both are $20-60k premium.

I’m pleased with the T but I do long for a naturally aspirated engine - maybe someday - I guess if someone wants a reasonable trade I would consider it.

Right now only a 991.2 GT3 touring might interest me. But I don’t think the asking prices are worth the difference for me. And I would need to find the right spec which is not easy.

Maybe. With the Sport Design package I think the 992 is quite pretty (but rather ugly without it). I’d like to see just how lightweight they make the 992T.

i dont think there will be a 992 T. they'd have to introduce it now for it to make commercial sense which there's nothing to suggest they are, compared to when in the cycle it landed in the 991.2 cycle, which is what made it a relative commercial failure at the time. everyone was anticipating the 992.

it wouldn't make much sense in 992 form to be honest. i.e. PASM is standard in all 992s now. all wide body. only thing to add would be lightweight glass, sport exhaust and RAS. that said. porsche will do anything to sell cars right now pre-IPO. it's why i don't think they'll restrict allocations for stuff like GT3's, etc. they need to juice the valuation and ADM's are dealer profit not theirs.

for me the issue with the 992 isn't so much the exterior. i prefer the 991.2 aesthetically, but could live with a 992 and not be bothered. but i'll never get over the 992 interior. it's cartoonish and modern in a way i really just don't think suits a 911. i rented one recently on a work trip and genuinely did not find it in any way impressive.

I don't really dig the 992 in Carrera form, but the GT3 looks pretty good i think. It would be tough to turn away one of those.

well on the Carrera S you certainly can get the lightweight glass, RAS, carbon roof, with a more powerful engine (potentially with the X51 package soon). Only thing missing is LWBS. Of course I don’t understand the GTS anymore either since everything is a wide body and the X51 will inevitably be an option for the S.

I agree I don’t understand the designation anymore. Here is the 992 T thread.

For me, any new car going forward, I would order with PDK. The transmission with eDiff, torque vectoring, RAS is working well together with chassis, etc and new cars are set up for these systems to work together as a unit.
Going to manual with new cars, ie 992, is like neutering the cars capability. Manual can still be fun but car will not be as capable. Therefore, for me, the ethos of the T will not be the same in the 992 as it was with the 991. the same goes with GT3 touring etc. The last manual car I would buy is from the 991 series and I will keep my 7 MT 911T for now

just my two cent and not wanting to start a discussion on PDK vs Manual
