David, that's great you had it covered!

I purchased a new bladder/lip with the "S" on it for $1,650.00 from Suncoast late last year (I believe they are $1,950.00 now - they get extra $$$ for the "S" insignia) and had it installed locally for about $600.00 - I was into it for about $2,250.00

Is this the same thing you had done or was your repair more involved?

I wished I knew if all these were the same repairs as mine. I don't think it was just the spoiler / lip. Mine had to do with the whole bladder system and some internal sensor.

I'm sure the dealer was pricer than some indy but I'm just glad it was covered. It says they had to do the front / rear spoiler "Relearn" also.

Soon as I pick it up, and get the old peace, I can post more about it.

Hope all's well brother!

The new spoiler includes the bladder or bag that fills with air and has the plastic air connection fittings on each side. I am pretty sure it's the same thing.

Other than that, it's just the hard plastic bumper parts.

Just picked the car up. Got the old part too. It's still in the back of my truck. It looks like the part everyone else is saying you can buy from Suncoast, but I just took at glance in the box. I'll post pics later. Gotta go see my Mother in the hospital.

Here's the receipt and info for anyone interested. Hennessey is great to deal with handled everything with Fidelity. Thank Goodness I bought that Warranty!!

Thanks for posting David- would really like to see where those electrical wires terminate as that would have to be part of a sensor. Also those magnets are likely part of the sensor- maybe magnetic switches (Hall effect sensor) within the bladder. Seems very over engineered 🙄

That is a lot more than the $2000 replacement spoiler, which explains the higher cost.

when I get a little bit more time I will see if I can get that filmed for you. With me working a lot and my mother in the hospital and a couple of friends in the hospital time has been limited lately. I will see what I can do for you though.

Kind of glad to hear this so I have more faith in the dealer about what was charged.

Thanks brother!!

Okay folks... A friend and member here (just doesn't post much due to time) is testing the waters of the market with his MEXICO BLUE PTS 997.2 TURBO S!!

I so wished I could afford to have another one!! This is So awesome!!

Spread the word. He purchased it on BAT a few years ago and it has an Fidelity Platinum Warranty on it until 2026!! He's only put like 4500 miles on it I think since he purchased it.

Here is his FB post and the old BAT link.

Pretty car, I'm sure it will bring good money, but I personally dislike "no price listed, make me an offer I can't refuse" car listings... If he wants highest and best, put it back on BaT?

I agree and he does too... He's just torn about it and in the very first stages of putting it out..
We just talked about the BAT option and how it goes. He'll be able to make a choice on that after he digest some of the offers he's getting.
I already have a local dealer that claims to have a buyer. It won't last for sure.
