Never mentioned this before but I keep wondering. Now esp. since prices have gone up so much on these cars.

When I was looking to purchase my 991.2TTS, I came across two cars initially that were lower miles and approx. $20-25K HIGHER than I ended up paying for my current car. (Mainly due to CPO and lower mileage)

However, the one I keep second guessing myself on is this one. I had Dibs on this car but ultimately decided against it due to price. ( It had a very high MSRP...Something like $226K or 236K)

Voodoo Blue. For the extra $25K or so, should I have bought this one? I love my GT Silver and have always been a Silver guy. But the exclusivity of this Blue would have been very cool.

haha, why punish yourself? Only you can answer that, you said yourself you are a silver guy

hey you can alway find another one in that color and sell yours, if you really want it

I think we always tend to want what we don't have...

imagine having bought the blue one and wondering if you should have bought the silver?

ALL ^ True!!! lol

Well said too.

Just never taken those chance with the "Flashy" colors and always stayed in the comfort zone. I do love my Silver though.

Over the years, I have had most popular colors, black 2x, white 2x, red, silver 2x, but only once a real flashy color, speed yellow. Some days I loved it, other days it got old. Silver always looks good to me and personally I am very pleased to be back to a less flashy color. I think you did really well with your color choice, I love it :-)

Thanks brother!

You are correct about Silver. It is classy and classic and always looks good.

I had the same thought for about one fleeting second but once the car was in my driveway, that tiny question mark was gone.
I've always loved silver and agate gray was a super duper close second and I have absolutely less than zero regrets.
These cars look great in all colors, I have found.

The other thing to consider is the fact that that blue is very unique and very recognizable. Don’t get me wrong, it is an awesome color. But depending on your driving style and habits, it may be best to fly under the radar. If you like to get on the throttle on public roads, I’d rather be under the radar and behind the wheel of something that’s less unique. I’m a very safe and conscientious driver but I do like to drive my car in a “spirited” fashion- safely of course when there are breaks in traffic and empty roads. I’d rather not have friends and neighbors recognize my car in these sorts of circumstances! Your silver is perfect IMO.

+1 to that.

I've learned my lesson. 9 out of 10 times I'll forgo the loud color for something under the radar in a high end/exotic car.

Loud colored cars also spark middle fingers, hate and in general negativity unless you're at a car show. It's a double whammy when you have a loud colored car AND you happen to have fun with spirited drives. Others get the impression of you rubbing it in.

I still get hard ons for Lava Orange RS and other nice bright colors.

Brewster Green would be stunning on a TTS.

Sucks that we can't have nice things.

Very good points and I agree. Like said, I've always been a Silver guy and stayed with the "Safe" colors for Resale purposes too.

I guess the VooDoo Blue wouldn't have really been "ME" anyway. I does look great thought.

Thanks folks!!

You can perhaps kick yourself for not buying TSLA or Bitcoin, but not for not buying a 911 in a color you don't personally love...

These cars are for smiles, not ROI!

I know this is going to come as a surprise to many (even me), but unfortunately I've decided to sell the 308. This was a dream car to own and drive with ZERO disappointments. However, I decided that my Porsche 911 Turbo S is the one to keep. I simply can't / shouldn't try to afford keeping both. If I could, this car would never go!!! Fact is, life is what it is.

So, here is my Bring-a-trailer listing that went LIVE today. It should close in a week (next Tues around 4pm EST). If you're interested or know someone who would be, please share the link.

I thought the plan all along was to sell the 308? Either way, I support you for doing what you need to do, and it doesn't hurt that you're keeping the Turbo S
