Blowers work better on that particular engine, turbos produce to much underhood temps.... And, to effectively manage knock, you need to swap out the pistons.

The blower also provides more linear pressure over the 9k rpm range.

They are very entertaining when so equipped.

Thanks brother. I'm blessed to only be an hour or less from some of the best roads in America.

This spot is the one I love getting shots of all my Vehicles, past and present, and will continue to in the future.

I concur about the summer weather.
I do have to go about an hour to get to them, but totally worth it once there. Yes, I'm very blessed to get to enjoy my vehicles on these roads.

LOL. That would be so much fun. An supercharger kits, header, exhaust (not loud though..I like this car quiet), and a tune would probably be a complete BLAST in this car.

My bigger problem with it is, for maximum return on my purchase If / When I decide to sell, I feel like keeping it stock and unmolested is the best play. I'm mean, it's a blast in stock trim too. I don't need the power / acceleration to have fun in this car. Not with these roads.

Turbo would probably make more overall power, but wouldn't be as good down low where this car needs it. IMO.

Have you driven one with an Supercharger on it?? I'd probably be HOOKED and spend the money if I got to test one. lol

I have driven two of them with blowers, the first was a bolt on Vortech kit - limited to about 6psi if memory serves - highly entertaining.

The second one had the same Vortech kit, but with 8.5:1 pistons in it and cranked up to about 12 - 14 psi, it was reportedly making north of 450 hp and smooth as butter, and completely linear in power delivery right up to the top end.

I would most certainly have one.

Just documenting one more item on the maintenance list. Bought both filters back when I bought the spark plugs and changed the small one under the hood but just never got around to doing the one in the cabin. Finally did it today. No big deal only took about 10 minutes.

I went to the Atlanta Streetcar Takeover event yesterday since it will be the last one ever. They sold Atlanta dragway to developers to put homes and commercial stuff there. No more dragstrip.

Pictures and videos to follow later this evening or tomorrow.

So I went to the Last ever Atlanta Streetcar Takeover Event at Atlanta Dragway because they sold it to developers for homes
I signed up for Test and Tune and the 10.00 Index Class. I only got to make ONE T&T pass and only two passes in the Index class before getting put out by a Sandbagging Drag car Mustang (Good Video though)
I had to race one of Sam by Designs customer that had the exact car as me but it was a Reg. Turbo vs. my Turbo S. He was quicker / faster than me but Broke out with a 9.90 so I got the WIN.
He had more that I had with Full Bolt Ons, Sams Custom Tune, a Methanol Kit, and Micky Thompson Drag tires on the rear with custom wheels. I'm still on my GIAC Stg. 2 plus tune and Tubi Exhaust only.

I'll post the vids first and then a few pictures...

First thing is that I had Too much fuel in the car going up there and only had 5 gals of VP MS109 which I was sure wasn't going to let me run my 100 octane tune. I ended up buying 5 more gals with took my Fuel Tank to Completely FULL (ran over a bit actually). I'm still not sure my Octane was up enough for the tune. I could feel it pulling timing on the big end a little bit.

I weighed the car on the scales BEFORE adding the 78 lbs. of fuel.....So my RACE WEIGHT was around 3985 lbs. with me in it. (Scale was 3907 with me in it prior to fuel...see pic).
DA was not great at around 2300-2400 feet.

First Pass = 10.12 @ 134.11 Time Slip and 10.13 @ 134.82 on the Dragy........ ( I could feel it pulling timing on the Big End. )

First Race was me and Sam's customer in the Turbo with the Meth kit and drag tires on the rear.

9.90 to my 10.33 (I deep staged).......Dragy showed I ran a 10.24 though.

He broke out (went under the 10.00 Index) so I actually got the WIN.

They called it Porsche on Porsche Crime!!!

My Last pass was a race against a Mustang Drag Car.....He had drag tires on front and rear and I can only assume a Supercharger, Turbo, Nitrous or something. He left hard but then it was about even until the end. He let off just at the right time.

His 10.06 took the win over my 10.18.

Sandbagger!! lol

I forgot to mention that all the racing was on an INSTANT GREEN LIGHT.....So NO Sportsman tree or Pro tree.....After you both staged, a guy controlled the green light and you had to react to it only.

Took some getting used to.

Another data point - my local track, Palm Beach International Raceway, has also been sold and will soon be a distribution center (Walmart or Amazon?).

Sad days indeed.

But at least you had that last time, no matter how bitter sweet it was.

And wow, that is quick!

Thanks guys but in case you missed it. This was the optional 100 oct. tune, I'm just not sure I got enough MS109 (only actually 104 octane) in the tank to get me up to the required 100.
I felt like it was pulling timing on the big end a bit. This tune on the black car in FL with same exhaust has done 139-140 mph in better DA, and I'm sure less weight and lighter driver.

Oh, this is also the same tune from this video right here when I did 140 mph on a very soft launch but in the cool very low DA
