Seen many Plaid run 9.20-9.30's with full charge...."The Plaid Channel" on YouTube does tons of races in his two Plaids.
Buddy of mine just bought one and I'll be going down sometime this wknd. to ride and drive his. Hope to get some video of it and maybe some Dragy times.

My Tesla Plaid Experience!!
Well one of my best friends (The guy who got me into hot rodding Diesel's back in the day - Jeff Garmon - Garmons Diesel Performance) has been slowly getting into EV's over the last few years. He resent retired and sold his Diesel business.
He's always been more into something that makes crazy power but stays reliable and can be driven anywhere. So he and his wife now have a Tesla Plaid, A Volvo SUV EV, a little Fiat 500 EV, and an EV Harley Davidson Motorcycle and the only combustion engine vehicle, a cargo van for hauling crap.
He's been buggin me to come down an ride that Electric Harley so when he sold his Tesla P100D Ludicrous and got the Plaid, I had to make the trip. I drove the Plaid and the Harley and went for a ride in the Volvo EV SUV. I also let him drive my TTS.
Simply put, the Plaid is Insane!! I brought my GoPro and my Phone mount to shoot some vids of it and get my honest canid reactions. Don't judge me...lol
I NEVER got a clear road that was level for any good Dragy numbers but everyone has seen those and what the Plaid will do anyway. I also had to let off PRIOR to the 1/4 being finished. Just to risky on the Mexican roadway.
Still, it ran a 9.7X @ 147+ with me letting off and the Re-gen braking applying and me braking. The feeling in my face and chest was just amazing. The reactions are real and with nobody in the car with me the first time driving it.
Here is how it went and a few pics.

Enjoyed your vids - interesting and entertaining 😎 - whilst über impressive it didn’t really look much FUN. The lack of engine noise I’d find disturbing- kinda like why I like powered aircraft and wouldn’t park butt in a glider. The steering yoke would certainly need getting used to! I guess ultimately they’ll have speed related gearing so you won’t need to rotate past 120 degrees and break grip. The funny feeling in the back of you jaw could be your semi-circular canals responding to that mega linear acceleration- can give a false impression of turning if you didn’t have visual feedback. Not much view outta the rear window!

For me, the calculus is simple...
Would I give up my 991 Turbo for a Tesla Plaid?
Not. A. Chance.
Is wild rocket-sled-like acceleration a super cool party trick? Absolutely.
I go out in my Turbos and enjoy the twisties almost every weekend. But I think I would likely just want to puke after the first dozen (half dozen?) Plaid blasts, let alone doing it week after week after week. And somehow I don't think a Plaid carving corners would be all that much fun either.

This.
However, those vids are impressive.
I WILL NOT BOW TO THE ELECTRON OVERLORDS!
I have an electric forklift, that's it, and all I will ever have of battery powered vehicles.

It was Amazing to say the very least, but No I just can't do the EV thing UNLESS I can afford for it to be a 2nd or 3rd vehicle AND they have enough battery storage / range for 400-500 miles WITH lots of "playing" with the power.
It would NEVER replace my love and feeling toward my Turbo or any other combustion engine sport car feeling.
Nice articulations on what I was feeling. It was a strange thing but very FUN!
I could do that all day and not get sick. Hence the reason I always volunteer to teach the Skid Pad for our recruits at EVOV training (Emergency veh. operations). I can skid and slid and spin all day without getting sick.
I agree 100%... EV's will never replace what I love and desire from a sport car / fun vehicle.
However, like I said up top...I could do those Pulls in that Plaid ALL DAY long and love it. I weird that way. lol
I agree... I may own one someday, but I'll never replace my combustion engine vehicles with one.
