Just dropped the TTS off at the dealer to investigate the "Spoiler Failure" that many are having and wondering about.
I'll report back once they decide what the "Fix" is. I'm betting they want to replace that "brain" like many have had, since everything works perfectly up to 77 mph regardless of miles driven (after code cleared).
78 mph is the key for the failure to pop. Has to be electrical.

I've noticed I have a persistent error code on my 991.1 Turbo as well. No CEL, but it shows up if I scan and comes back if reset the error.
"Front Spoiler 8E0204 Front Spoiler Pressure Sensor Fault".
Spoiler works perfectly manually, will automatically extend and retract immediately when going in and out of Sport+, but does not auto-extend at speed in other modes. I don't really care that much, I kind of like to manually control it, but while I have CPO I'll have them take a look.

Yup. Or possibly a sensor.

I wished I had that type of failure. Once mine pops the code at 78 mph, it retracts all spoilers and won't do Anything to deploy them unless I pull the battery cable.
Then works perfectly manually and sport plus up to 77 mph.
I don't need it to self deploy at 78 personally, but do want it to deploy when I want them to.
Either way, we'll get it fixed and hopefully have no further issues.

Got a text from my Service guy. Says the Bladder will have to be replaced due to a faulty Sensor ( I assume inside ) that can't be replaced on it's own. So based on that, I assume the bladder wasn't leaking but that sensor is tied to it.
No word on anything else yet, except they have to order parts and it MAY be ready by Tues of next week but not to "count" on that in case the parts don't come in.

Hopefully, they don't rape you for the fix.

Glad they figured it out. Sucks that it is the whole bladder...
Any chance you can bring home and autopsy the old bladder to see if there might be a way to DIY/hack a new sensor for others that have this failure in the future, or if it fails again on you? I'm assuming the entire bladder isn't cheap.

Great Idea!! I just text him after reading this and this was his reply.
"Good call. I’ll make a note. I think the spoiler is fine. It’s the sensor built into it that fails. Then requires the whole part to repair. So if it works out you could have it and maybe get some usable parts out of it."

If its a bladder related sensor I cant figure out why you'd have such a precise speed related error. I think the sensor adjacent to, not inside the bladder, is a microswitch that senses deployment according to my tech..
Hope this fixes the problem and its not too expensive but I fear its gonna run to a few k 😕
Good luck 🤞
