Depends on what you want out of it. Just be prepared for the issues they have. Even has a track car they need significant work. I would avoid them, unless you have an extra $20k laying around for all the what ifs. For a track car/toy a c5z I would actually prefer. Or just pick up a c7, which is WAY WAY WAY nicer. Tech, interior, and most issues fixed. Pictures are from this morning. Was so glad to get rid of it. I don't know a single c6z person who is not on motor #2, if not at least 3 or 4. Also just all the other little issues that pop up.
Shipped mine out this morning. Had it since 2008. Been heavily involved in the vette scene, and c6z06 scene for a long time. I couldn't see going from a 911 to a c6z. It is just a huge step backwards.
Ever thought about a Dodge Viper? Much better platform...
Eh... Just never been into them really. I mean, they're cool and all...But only certain ones are now even beginning to be affordable. The GTS's and others have gone to high for a 4th veh. to add.
This low mile c6 zo6 is just at the top of what I'd want to spend on a 4th to fit in as the "raw" older muscle car.

Good to know... BTW, I wouldn't be going "from and to"...The 991.2 TTS would be staying (for now at least).
This C6Z only has 4800 miles and is just about perfect.. Totally stock and would stay that way. I'm not totally sold on it. It just interest me.
For some crazy reason I feel the need to have a 4th and different vehicle for the collection.
This is my Gen 2 96 viper. They are still quite affordable 40 K for an average used one. V10 N/A 6 MT 450 HP. Makes quite the track monster with little effort. The newer Gen's bring a little more until you hit the latest Gen 5's but they are starting to come down.
BAT is going to be some of the better ones out there. Quick search on AutoTempst there a few in my area. But I'm on the west-coast so right now there a little on the high side. I saw a Gen 2 yesterday on Facebook for 45K. I think it sold already

Do what you want to do, but know that an 06 c6z was a high 20k car all day long precovid. I wouldn't pay anything over $30k for the car you are talking about.

What I like about the Corvettes is, like you said, the feeling of the raw power. Stock, they're not the fastest on the road, but it will put a grin on your face when you step into. Kind of like the old muscle cars when you feel the 4 barrel secondaries open up. My vote is to go for the '06 Z06 that you found and like. If it doesn't work out the way you expected, sell it.
