Hardest to install is also hardest to *uninstall*. This coupled with the BMC filter would lead me to believe the car was modified previously and returned to stock(ish).

Well, this is what we think may have happened. Could be wrong, but it kinda makes sense...

I totally forgot to mention the car has Fabspeed headers on it as well. Another score! So, in total, the car already has HJS high flow cats, Fabspeed headers, IPD plenum and the BMC filter. All parts of a $9k package from Fabspeed.
We think they pulled off the easiest parts to get to and maybe resold them? Or kept them?

I am the third owner. The story on the car is that the previous owner traded in his GT3RS and this Turbo S on a Speedster. The guy had good taste for sure.

However, I'm guessing these mods were done by the original owner as a shop called Max RPM Motorsports did some work on it when the car was nearly new, according to Carfax. The previous owner may have never even known the parts were on the car.

I'll most likely never know for certain, but I do know the car is in amazing shape and was pretty well maintained and I feel very fortunate to have it now!

And the exhaust sound is night and day. Omg!

@osunick That looks amazing. So almost 2 years later, how are the decals holding up? Still look newish? Man I love martini stripes. They would not work on my car (meridian metallic) but if my car were dark colored I would be all about that look. We are like a little kid with our cars. Hey you have to have a hobby right? But I can totally see, in my case, that this could be construed as a 'mid-life crisis'. Except there's no crisis here. I just love my 911 .

Haha, that's not my car. I resurrected an old (2020) thread and was asking the OP how the decals held up. . I wish that was my ride. Although, I love my '01 996 Coupe so I dunno. Never drive a Turbo 991, but...I would drive that one!

Got a package from Sweden today. Probably wait for weather to cool down, and the headers/exhaust to show up and do it all at once. Got d088 inlet pipes, y pipe, plenum, and intercoolers along with BMC filter.

Dropped my car off this morning for some upgrades - courtesy of Sambo. Getting 991.2 68 mm VTG Turbos, Inlet Pipes, Intercoolers, IPD Plenum rounded off by a tune to tie it all together. Wanted to do this 6 moths ago - but life got in the way . Now that life is out of the way - we are moving forward. Looking forward to this next step. I'm not sure where I will end up performance wise but it's going to be more than i can handle for at least a year - then we'll see what happens. I love the 991 platform - just when you get used to it - you can do more. Thanks in advance Sambo - I will saw the communication has been stellar to date.
