The closest I will ever go electric is a hybrid. Last year I bought a 2021 Volvo XC-90 Recharge (hybrid). I like driving electric only on the short trips. Other than that, I'm glad I have an ICE for longer trips.
You all know me and know that I am an absolute ICE sports car fanatic (more accurately Porsche ICE sports car fanatic, see sig if in doubt), but....
I've had my Rivian R1T for a bit over six months now, and I must say I am completely blown away by how great it is... Handles ridiculously well in the twisties, rips off 11.5's in the quarter bone-stock on all terrain tires AT ALTITUDE, off roads and handles adverse weather like a champ, 330 mile range, interior equal to any luxury car I've been in, 840 HP, etc.
IMHO it is an amazing vehicle that happens to be an EV, not an amazing vehicle because it is an EV...
