It was actually the test drive of a 2RS about a year ago that landed me in the 720S... They had two 2RS at the local Mclaren dealer. After the Porsche test drive, dealer asked me if I ever drove the 720S and handed me the keys. Loved it. Then a ridiculously great trade offer on my GT4 RS (which I didn't love) and the deed was done.

It's an animal. much more spartan feeling than the 911TT .. very stiff and very raw. mine has kline catless inconel and a stage 2 tune from sam, it's pretty nasty, and with T/C off i could easily get in trouble, it feels as loose as my 1200whp raptor in rwd. so far it is very very fun, i have put about 450 miles on it since march. i did a matte wrap and powdered the mag wheels black. it has 7000 miles and its very very clean. previous owner kept it immaculate as i am sure most do.

Yeah, absolutely bonkers - when the 991 came into my life, I had an opportunity at time of purchase to get a GT2RS for 275k CDN... 36k more than the 991 cost.

Biggest automotive miss of my life.

I have seen some 991 GT2RS guys run Meth - I'm not sure I understand exactly why though. I would think there is already enough power (especially with a ProTune from Sam) to get out of hand given RWD, and I thought Meth wasn't a great idea for the road course track events (already have those bad *** intercooler sprayers on the GT2RS)? Only guess is the Meth is for even more power for rolling straight line races?

Maybe it’s the added benefit of keeping the IATs down when running more boost? Side benefit is that meth should keep valves cleaner

The IC sprayers should do that.

True, I wasnt sure if running higher boost gives too much of a load than the sprayers are designed to handle? I’m not familiar with the cooling capacity of that system.

As astounding as the GT2RS is, I'd much rather have the Turbo S because it is much better suited to daily use. The combination of comfort and insane performance is the sweet spot for me.

I agree with you if I could only have one 911. That said, I’d sure love to own a GT2RS along with my Turbo S.

700+ HP in a RWD platform is challenging, especially on the street in the rain.

I think these things are getting so insanely valuable, fewer and fewer of them are driven on a daily basis, as noted with Mike's purchase - 7k miles, 1k miles a year...?
