I used a slightly modified Home Depot tote (click for HDX 17 gallon link) to make my meth system quickly removable. Unscrew the meth line, unplug the electrical connector and everything lifts out. I also wanted the to use the tote keep any meth leaks or spillage from soaking into the factory carpet/liner. This proved to be fortuitous. After filling the tank and making the first pulls, I found the collar around the lid leaks. 🤦♂️ I found a couple other totes that fit without modification, but they were clear with a completely flat bottom. I wanted the black to better blend in and also wanted ribbed floor. The ribbed floor provides a recess to keep the mounting hardware on my tank straps from grinding into the carpet. I have an OEM frunk liner that I planned to use for this purpose, but the walls taper too much making the bottom area too small. With the tank in place, a single standard sized carry on will still fit. This is more than enough for me, but if the wife is also traveling, we can't get by on one carry on 🤣🤣🤣
Dave - does it really take months for the paint to cure?
Based upon what I've been told over the years, PPF on non-factory paint is always dicey if you expect to remove the PPF and it is best to allow the paint to cure for many weeks. I plan to reconfirm with both my PPF guy and the body shop.

That's pretty much the plan. I'll get it fixed and allow it to cure over the winter with PPF in the spring.
First world problem: I'll just be 'forced' to drive one of the others. Gonna put the Summer shoes on the 718T tomorrow.

Background for the name is in this post in my 2015 ED Thread:

Yep, I've seen non-factory paint peel right off while removing PPF if the paint has not cured long enough.
Happened to the hood of my buddy's 97 Supra.
Removing that stuff always makes me a bit nervous.

You sir have me thinking. My main reason to not go the meth route is losing frunk space given we take a lot of road-trips. Thank you for the post!
Not sure what you consider "miserable" but I'd probably trade with ya.
103-105* Heat index yesterday with so much humidity that I'm dripping after only 1-2 mins. of being out of the car on numerous calls / stops yesterday at work.

Sir, I would gladly trade my south Florida weather/humidity with you anytime - imagine if your summer time *never* ended. The only silver lining is I can tell myself the weather is a key reason to get Meth.
