Not as complex as the wing, but last week I got up the nerve/confidence to replace the puddle light with a Porsche Tequipment light that projects the word "Porsche" on the ground when you open the door. The light is on the interior of the door and I was very reluctant to mess with the interior door panel. Read it was an easy procedure, tho. All I had to do was pry the light out and boy, was I gritting my teeth when putting the pressure on snapping it out. All and all it was about two, three minutes with the pull out and replacement on the first one and about a minute with the second. Now I have the big head that I can do anything now. Well, baby steps!

Looks great can you send a link, I would like to do the same?
To remove:
Use a small trim tool and insert about 1/4 inch inward from both of the top edges. This will pop it out from the top. Now the bottom will release. Pull the electrical clip out of old unit.
To install:
Insert the electrical clip into the new unit. Insert bottom edge first, then push and pop in the top edge.

I've got these. How hot was the OEM puddle light when you were pulling it out?

When I changed my orange markers out, I watched the video on how to do it half a dozen times, and was still terrified that I would break the light, or worse, damage the body as I slid it out.
Neither happened, chalked that up as a 'win'.
Sounds like my experience - very stressful DIY project
