I think for the past 15 years, I haven't owned a car that didn't have adaptive headlights. You get used to them very fast and learn to really appreciate the technology. I get into rental cars all the time now, when I'm on overnights, and notice not having adaptive headlights very quickly, which sux. LOL

I read that; the Germans are trying to get these laser based lights approved in NA and the DOT apparently will have nothing to do with them.

Pity really, because by extension, we will not see them in Canada either.

Yup. The adaptive matrix LED lights. Figure 2030 we’ll get’em. After all US DOT is a lot faster than it used to be.

How long did it take US DOT to approve something other than sealed beam lights? 20 years? 30?

Let’s not even start on H4 vs H5 lights…

H3ll has frozen over:

The US will finally allow adaptive beam headlights on new cars

Looks like matrix LEDs are back on the menu boys!

Only took about 10 years .

How long will it take dealers to program this into our cars and how much will they try to charge?
