You, and probably a lot of people. My wife had a harder time with that than I did. I do sneak a Chipotle chicken burrito every month or so. That's my cheat. My wife works out on the road a lot. She cheats waaay more than I do. Probably why she lets me slide on the beer.. lol

Took delivery of my new Kline Exhaust system yesterday and did a DIY install, also install a new BMC air filter and did the oil change since the car was already on the lift... Overall the install went great, I started prep and disassembly Sunday and in about 6 hours I had everything out and the hot side of the turbos exposed, exhaust install was yesterday evening and after 4 hours I had everything installed and aligned and in about 2 hours I had the car put back together. I went slow and steady trying to be meticulous with everything (different bolts in different cups) and probably went A-Z in about 12 hours. Working the CATs was not easy and I probably spent at least two hours just trying to align everything perfectly (adjust -> install bumper -> adjust -> bumper and repeat two more times) but in the end.... the sound is worth it. It's the first time I've taken the rear of the car apart so that was definitely some cause for anxiety but thanks to some helpful threads here in this forum I was able to get the job done right (thankfully the first time).

I went with a this model: 304 Stainless Steel / 100 Cell High Flow Cats / 76/76mm (Race Version) according to the vendor website, the exhaust did look different than any pictures I've seen online of other Kline 991 installs but I'm happy with the end result. Some pics of the progression:

20 mins just to unbox

Nice details

Out with the old

Getting this far felt like an achievement

Big filter/airbox - skinny pipes

Halfway there

Those O2 sensors definitely caused some stress and they got wound a bunch trying to remove and install them - seems that's to be expected

It's starting to feel real at this point

She's in....

Nice touch

Well done to our Romanian brethren.

Soon I'll be reaching out to Sam @ ByDesign for some tuning work. I keep hearing rave reviews...

Cheers

Oh forgot to mention the first start-up... always an exciting moment.... First off no CEL's...thank goodness considering all the connectors that I disconnected and reconnected + the O2 sensor cables got a workout. First cold start was naturally louder than stock, but with it being cold outside, the car wasn't as loud as I thought it would be but once the exhaust and engine came up to temp it started to come alive. Those amazing sounds I've heard about so many times really came in to existence and I had a smile ear-to-ear. The gargles and pops in sport is nice (the kids will love it) but the sounds are still pretty docile in normal mode (the wife will love that), that is until you step on it and then the sounds.... oh yes... worth the $$$ and what I care about anyways. Happy to see this 3.8L has some growl now...

Nothing feels better than turning your own wrenches and knowing the installation is perfect !

Well done !

@SamboTT@ByDesign tune is absolutely outstanding. I just reinstalled his Stage 2 tune today (oil change) , and the before and after drive is amazing. Such a smooth, OEM feeling tune at part throttle…..them BAM, HITS HARD WOT

Yeah thanks - lol - I take care of her for sure... she's only been in the rain maybe like 3-4 times in 2.5 years and any anytime she's up in the lift she gets cleaned up down in her goody bits.
