Well, the title does ask for "today" specifically but yes, pretty much everyday....

Saturday sitting by the pool usually means ordering parts. Two weeks ago it was IC’s. Today I am trying to decide if it is turbos. Few more beers and diverters, y pipe, plenum, and turbos might happen. I love Saturdays!

Skip the diverters if you're planning to go larger turbos in the future. Safe bet to go with a Tial BOV and BMS Y pipe IMO

Not yet, these things always take much longer than expected. Good thing I have the 570s to keep me satisfied until the beast comes... Third world spoiled problems

All good things come to those who wait.

Massive amounts of pine pollen, plus sitting on quickjacks for a couple of weeks waiting for some parts to finish up the latest mods, and finally an oil change, she really needed a bath!

Looks good Paul! How do you get your foam to stick like that?

Cheapo Amazon foam cannon, the smallest electric Ryobi power washer, and honeydew snow-foam car wash...

I also have a foam gun that just attaches to a hose without the power washer that I use most of the time, only using the power-washer version for when it's really dirty.

I get it - by pressurizing it, the foam becomes aerated and lighter so it sticks.

My little PW had a 'foam' option but I have never used it - at the big commercial washes up here, they have foam guns but I thought they needed big compressors to run. Does the sticking foam actually pull the dirt off?

Because that would be very cool if it does.

Ialso swapped out my passenger side turbo to intercooler hose... It had a good amount of wiggle in it and looked like it was weeping a bit, likely a bit of boost leak as well. I had read that they had gone through a few versions of this particular passenger side hose and it was pretty clear that the latest version had some design changes....

I probably could have had it swapped out under CPO warranty, but at $70 for the part and a super easy install, I just bought it and installed it myself. I'd suggest anyone with a 991.1 at least give that hose a wiggle and consider upgrading, possibly 991.2 as well. Not sure when the cut over to the latest version.Old part numbers were 991-110-636-71, then 991-110-636-72 , now 991-110-636-73 - around $70. You can see some of the other markings on the latest boost hose and fairly easily see the markings on the installed hose as well.

Funny, you wouldn't think an IC hose as 'consumable', but hey, there it is...

The sticking foam helps loosen any dirt and also helps lubricate if you need to use a wash mitt on really dirty areas... I typically find that on aa car with ceramic and a good coat of wax, a water-only rinse, followed by foam, followed by another water rinse is enough to clean almost all of the car without anything touching the paint. If it's really grimey, I'll also use a microfiber mitt and bucket to rinse the mitt...

Just thinking of pulling mine to see how much oil inside - how do you release those end clips? Do they lever up somehow?
