The light is on the interior of the door and I was very reluctant to mess with the interior door panel. Read it was an easy procedure, tho. All I had to do was pry the light out and boy, was I gritting my teeth when putting the pressure on snapping it out. All and all it was about two, three minutes with the pull out and replacement on the first one and about a minute with the second. Now I have the big head that I can do anything now. Well, baby steps!

Below is the picture from the supplier ...

Looks great can you send a link, I would like to do the same?

From SunCoast: https://www.suncoastparts.com/produc...1G2BaseXINTACC

To remove:
Use a small trim tool and insert about 1/4 inch inward from both of the top edges. This will pop it out from the top. Now the bottom will release. Pull the electrical clip out of old unit.

To install:
Insert the electrical clip into the new unit. Insert bottom edge first, then push and pop in the top edge.

I've got these. How hot was the OEM puddle light when you were pulling it out?

Warm, which surprised me. Did you notice the size of the heatsink on the new unit?

Neither happened, chalked that up as a 'win'.
Sounds like my experience - very stressful DIY project

Looks great now - what happened to it to necessitate a replacement?

It's huge in comparison to the part. It covers most of the back side. I imagine there will be no problems with heat.

I think someone backed into me, exactly on the light - there was no damage to the body or the wing, just a chunk of lens missing.

The most painful part was waiting since October for the light and shop time.

You didn't have to wait that long. You're welcome.

That's good... I, however, used clear tape to hold me over...
