I do not anything as low risk at almost 300 feet per second...

As an aside to something more pleasant, I noticed that my newly installed grills did not fall out after installation yesterday.

This is viewed as a 'victory', despite their inability to keep the rain out....

well the 300 ft per second is the high consequence part

statistically it’s low risk when you count all the airstrip runs by each car each day around the world in ratio to the crashes...

tiny percent likelihood of a serious crash with injuries, but very high consequence if there is a crash at the end of the course at those speeds.

but let’s move on to more uplifting stuff lol

I have been heard to say to junior staff, 'It's not the speed that kills you, it's the sudden stop...'

Occasionally, there is a doe eyed look from them, when I then say 'Don't fckn speed in company equipment!!!'

So far, so good, no crashes and no fatalities.

Just for fun, with some CAD software and a 3D printer I designed new center caps that cover the centerlock lug, in the style of a giant LEGO technic cross axle and bushing. I wonder how many double takes I can get with these on.

That is dam impressive, congrats!

I think you and Steven should have a dyno shoot out to see who has the bigger, (ahem...), turbo output...

That's pretty cool, I hope it drives nice!

HAHAHA! Ya that’d be awesome! Sam was trying to put down 835 wheel hp but temps were warm in Torrance that day. He said if it were like 60F we would’ve done it.
I think my turbos can spool a little higher cuz of my straight pipe exhaust. It’s nuts how quickly they spin with zero back pressure from a typical after market exhaust. In fact Sam had to dial in the tune cuz of the spool happening so quick

Looking at your power curve on the 818 run on the other thread, makes me wonder if there was a little more to be had up top, but rising ambient temps may have indeed been your enemy.

I think that is impressive - makes me want to jump in headfirst, and with those straight pipes, it must howl something wicked.

You are approaching the 1000 crank hp mark.

Some little 'chariot swords/blades' off the axles would be pretty cool too...

Any good meth kit pics/videos of install? Think that will be my Christmas holiday project. Already have the bungs in the D088 Y pipe, and Sam has offered his usual support. Seems straight forward enough...just time consuming finding the pathway through the frunk, taking off the panels, and fishing the lines through. Only thing unclear is the electrical, installing the controller in the sports chron location, and tapping into the MAP source. Appreciate any knowledge sharing you guys can provide.

Sorry man, I wasn’t involved in the meth install. So couldn’t give you any advice. They installed it pretty quickly tho. it was a very reasonable price for the amount of horsepower gains.
I did the rest of the stage4 install if you have any questions DM me.
