What did you do to your 991 turbo today?

Looking at your power curve on the 818 run on the other thread, makes me wonder if there was a little more to be had up top, but rising ambient temps may have indeed been your enemy.
I think that is impressive - makes me want to jump in headfirst, and with those straight pipes, it must howl something wicked.
You are approaching the 1000 crank hp mark.

Right up there with a gt3 scream

(I actually prefer the sound with the turbo whistle)

Not too much of help on the gauge and where you'd get Tmap boost from. Is it a wire, or an actual boost fitting reference port for your kit?

My car is going under the knife this weekend, I can try and get some pictures of my methanol install for you. The frunk part is the easiest IMO.

Finally have time to work on the real setup that I've been waiting for. Syvecs, Twin G30-770, billet intake manifold/PI kit, all new fuel system, etc.
We're still working on that. I have one of those controllers on my 335i, it's triggering and powering my second LPFP directly with PWM control, no relays etc.

Sounds 'Big'...
What billet intake?

So, what kind of power are you expecting...?

On kill mode I would like to see it hit 1200whp on our dynojet. Low 3's 60-130mph and even a 200mph run in the 1/2mile and I'll be super satisfied.
I know non of that is easy, but based on my recipe and speaking to a few people. This is easily doable with the setup and parts I have chosen.

So, that's going to be around 1400hp at the crank; is the motor built?

I have to admit, I am very curious of the longevity of transmission components at this power level. Historically, with the exception of the odd motor here and there, most of the failures I have induced from modifying vehicles has been with transmissions.
There seems to be a number of folks that have had some kind of PDK issue, from chattering clutches, to leaks, to solenoid failures, random electronic warnings/message, over a wide range of mileages (and models), but I do not recall anyone posting anything about grenading their gearbox whilst feeding it 1400 odd HP - is this type of reliability associated with the overall design of the PDK or is it, in your case, a function of having it rebuilt with Dodson components?
I think it is truly impressive that you, Sam and a select few are capable of building daily driven cars like this - I am just jealous of you guys in that, I live in a place where I will never really be able to enjoy something such as a build like that, without serious exposure to jail.
Good stuff.
