Had my "trunk monkeys" put on winter tires. Made a 30-sec fun video to illustrate that even a little girl can change centerlock wheels AND check if that's done right without whining. I only did tightening and breaking, and lifting the wheels over brake rotors. Yes, they do hate the silver grease now, but they managed.

I also think the centerlock nonsense is totally overblown... They are just not that big of a deal to service. That said, it was kind of obvious the centerlock had already been broken loose by the time your daughter loosened it the rest of the way...

I used a female Jr. Engineer, then let her drive it so I could figure out what was clicking - I drove it out of the bay and and harpooned the right rear, no puncture...
Children are better in every sense; cheaper, smaller and infinitely more enthusiastic.

Hahah - I was too lazy to assemble my 5ft torque wrench so I used the single-piece 3ft one from the race car. Because it's so short it takes about 160-180lbs of force on the handle to break the nut, or roughly 3x her body weight, for perspective. So I had to help out. From that upright position, even I would not be able to do that because I'm not heavy enough. I have to deadlift it from the horizontal position up with that wrench (it's ok to break with it because it's rated for 650lbs-ft, and breaking force never gets above 500lbs for me, so I just crank it up and go).
