I run OZ Forgiata 19" in 997GT2RS offsets, they fit perfectly.. As was said above, you might have to look into the control arm and brake disk covers, I had them removed. My reco would be to go with 9.5" fronts, wish I found them ready to ship back then, 265s and 270/680 slicks are streched on the 9", so you do not benefit from the tire increased width fully.

Jean,

Thanks for the mention. We have just created a new web page just for the tire warmers that we sell. You can now get them in 5 different colors. All with digital controllers. We have many sizes that fit the Porsches in stock (Demon Speed green of course)

We have a video talking about the tire warmers on the purchase link on the site as well.

Here is a link to our site.

https://racingtirewarmers.com/

Thanks

Ed

Thank you for sharing. So a couple of questions:

1- You mentioned control arms and dust covers. Since you do use the 19 OZs, are you on stock arms? Since mine is my daily driver as well I am trying to make sure it remains that way. I don't mind removing the dust covers. And for arms, are there other arms that can work with 19s.

2- Regarding the front width, the 9.0 OZs fit 265s without fender modification on stock suspension?

Much appreciated

Both HRE & Forgeline manufacture their track wheels from scratch to fit around your brakes and also with the lower control arm in mind so that you don't have to make any modifications to it. I would recommend the HRE R101 Lightweight (most lightweight traditional forged wheel made for the 991 Turbo in the world) and the Forgeline VX1R that has similar styling to the R101 LW + matching incredible quality and durability.

Thank you for your response. Do they make 19" wheels that would fit? I know of both HRE and Forgelines that make 20" but not 19".

Yes, both the HRE R101 Lightweight and the Forgleine VX1R can be made in 19" for you. If you reach out to me directly I can help provide you with more info.

I might give these a try. I just finished two full days at Sebring and my tires look like they one have one more day left in them. Wear patter was better with lower PSI but that meant that I had to go out pretty low and wait until pressures came up. Not sure if I’m tearing them apart by not being patient enough the first two laps.

quick video of a data pull at Sebring!

got some good pics that will post next week. Randy was out there too on his astonishing 2RS. Really cool car.

was able to lower my time to a 2:14.84 Still tons of time being left on the table. Next step some coaching!

As promised.

Attached some pics from this weekend. I was able to get one clean video from VBOX. Data is good but the video lap timers is all out of wack. At least i was able to get one, not my fastest but a good lap specially on street tires.

Great to see Pdtp#16 and that amazing GT2RSx at Sebring. First time at the track, so still learning a lot, but I managed to get a 2:22 done with a lot of traffic. Not bad for 2 days, but his 2:14 time is smoking fast. I'll be back next year, for sure. It's very different from VIR: more full throttle sweepers, shorter straights, and managing/planning that bumpy concrete is a challenge unto itself. Turns 1 and 17 are fairly nuts - but Bishop's Bend is a lot to learn in one weekend, too. They put me in the intermediate run group because it's my first time here, and I eventually blistered those poor souls. I will be looking forward to a faster run group next time I'm back here. Also, I've never been at a PCA event that had more Porshe's. I estimate 80% of the cars were Porsche, and half of those were 991 GT3 or GT3 RS.

(Notice all those Nitrogen tanks in the background, left over from the IMSA Encore race the previous weekend. This is a serious track, incredible history and pedigre.)

Pdtp#16 car looks awesome. Definitely looks the biz. Is that a full cup conversion? And great driving too.
