Thanks for a great post. I am looking forward to getting mine back out soon. Did you run in sport or sport plus?

Anyone have experience with 285s on the front?

All tracks are closed in southern Ontario and itching to get out and try some Trofeos

What do you guys think of all the major racing series offering full coverage of iRacing? I love my Sim setup, but a quiet drive on backroads is more enjoyable for now, since every track within a day of me is still closed.

PS - I don't drive on the street like I would on track. Street racing is simply not OK. Everybody's got to be patient.

Is it possible to run a 265 on the stock front 20” wheel, or would it require a wheel change?

It would rubber on the struts. You need a custom forged wheel to be built with a low enough offset so that the wheel is pushed away from them. If you need further information I'm here to help David@WheelsBoutique.com

Yes, for track days I have MPSC2 in 265-35-20 front and 325-30-20 rear, all mounted on the stock wheels.
Many others here, like RandyC have also done the same

Correct - absolutely no issues or rubbing, even lowered and track driven. What year is your car, or what size wheels came on it?

My car is a 2015 TT (non S) with 245/35ZR20 Sport Cup 2’s on the front currently.

Those should be 9"x20" wheels, which fit 265 tires just fine.

I'd love to try them, but a few problems. 1) I have not been able to find them in the US. 2) The tracks are all closed!!! 3) No surprise that the later laps on a track he hadn't driven before were faster than the earlier laps, so how much was tire vs how much was learning the track?

That was very impressive, thank you for sharing.

Funny how tyres are evolving to absolutely challenge the laws of physics.

I was able to get on an undisclosed track this weekend for a private event!! Taking time off since November, all new trailer with full insulation and dual A/C's, getting more camber in the car than last year, and starting on a nearly empty track with sticker Cup2R tires...it was absolutely fantastic to get back out there!

Anybody else able to finally start booking some track days?? What's the track status where you are?
