And the second after the first accident in the US where the children are injured, you would all sue porsche for building a vehicle designed to be driven at high speeds with backseats that somehow forced you to enjoy with your children...

If you go to 1 minute and 56 seconds the interior shows platinum stitching but the configurator shows only red or black
The configurator for me when i touring package and keep the standard interior option i have the anthracite inserts still on the door but then if i click for the optional interior and go back to the standard free interior it removes the anthracite inserts on the doors
I also noticed if you try to put deviated stitching in the optional colors (acid green, yellow, etc.) it asks you to remove the touring package

I would beg to differ.. What we will see is another flip fest. Those who did not want a GT3 with a wing, will now clamor over each other to get an allocation so they can have their own (perceived) R. They will pay the ADM fees that others (who wanted a winged GT3) may not have. Some R owners who simply bought as a collector may now want a .2 GT3 to drive so they can save their R.
While this doesn't affect me (Canadian + allocation) I feel for the enthusiasts who are now getting the short straw in the US.
This whole "I'm embarrassed about the wing" but will have a bright a$$ PTS and talk non stop about the motorsports engine and heritage in my wingless wonder at every C&C.. all BS.. most want this to say they have the better upgrade R and how they saved $400k..

I was in your camp until recently. I was driving my gt4 on the street and had a bad experience. Mind you my car is catless, with track suspension, and harness bar. Maybe a little too aggressive for the street. For the Street I wanted a old school Naturally Aspirated sports car. I actually gave up my PtS allocation that was already color specced. Who knows maybe in 4 months when it arrives the wings win.

It's funny how folks are going to great lengths in order to get a manual GT3...wingless or not. When I said that the first gen GT3 pdk only is a mistake,they were coming at me with pitchforks and knives. Lol!

GT3/RS should be for those who want to track, not for those who want to lap around the block with their children. As you both stated, there are cars for that.

Ideally I'd rather have a GT3 RS and not have this configuration 1st world problem but I'm wondering if a GT3 Touring is a better option for those of us with no chance of scoring a new RS since it's unlikely (although possible) the RS is also offered with a touring package. ...at least then we'd have the greatest normal-looking 911 instead of the second best GT3.
