Thanks. Funny you say that, as I thought so too.

Also, your use of "good guy dealers" rubbed off on me as I found myself using that term when discussing the whole GT3 allocation process to others.

Always been big on Signal Green and Voodoo Blue. We'll see how it goes.
Do it! Go go go! YOLO! Signal green it is then!

Dude seriously if they offer you PTS that's an offer you can't refuse. Rest assured that a good part of the extra cost will be recouped if you ever sell the car.

Was offered a bloated ($190k+ MSRP) dealer spec car for $50k over in Manhattan. It is PTS Gulf Blue though... Spring 2018 delivery. Was also told that this is the only GT3 that will be available through them in calendar 2018...

Re: signal green

Be sure to read Z356 Eduardo’s excellent posts on signal green as the code changed from 997 to 991.

Haha As long as I rub off on some folks on here I've done my job. Definitely support your good guy dealer and give them other non-GT business, they desire it.

$240k for a Gulf Blue GT3? Tell them I'll sell them my Golf Blue GT3 for only $230k.

I purchased my .1GT3 PTS at MSRP at Manhattan Motors. My .2 GT3 had to purchase elsewhere.

I bought my .2 GTS from them. I gave them a deposit for a .2 GT3 a couple months ago. They couldn't guarantee anything but told me they would let me know if anything "came up". Yesterday I get a call about a .2 PTS GT3 for Spring 2018 delivery that they wanted $50k over MSRP for. I bet you get a call from them about this as well. The car was spec'd by the dealership and was obviously ordered to be sold for huge ADM. Frankly I would be suspicious. I don't think anyone can "guarantee" an allocation at this point. Especially at MSRP...

How was your experience? Would you trust them on their word if they say they'll get you a car?

The deposit was paid for an MSRP car?

Unfortunately, sounds pretty typical for lots of dealers. I guess if it sounds too good to be true . . .

The deposit didn't specify price. I figured we would be getting to that eventually. But again I don't think anyone can guarantee an allocation at this point. Frankly they even went so far as to tell me they wouldn't be getting any more GT3s in calendar year 2018 so that paying $50k over for this one was gonna be my only shot. Said they would refund my deposit if I didn't want it. You might have better luck though who knows.

They had told me the same thing multiple times on their last allocation that they had for 15k over, which I turned down.

I think the confidence that they have that they're going to get another car shows that they know another round of allocations is coming. All the MSRP dealerships tell me they will make one more batch while all the ADM's say "this is your last shot"

They have just barely started landing here.
Of course, they will make more.
