Hahaha. Yes, that's a nice Costco. Hot dogs and soda at MSRP.

He was never told he was getting an allocation at MSRP. I said they wanted 30K over and he wouldn’t pay it. As he had just bought his fourth car from them he thought it was a good time to ask again. Clearly they didn’t care.

Valued Porsche Customer Membership Club =

Buy 3 cars/year at market + $10k AND
Sell (trade in) 3 cars/year at market - $10k

= $60k/year Membership Fee

Just like Costco only slightly more expensive.

It appears this is only or mostly in So. Cal, and in NYC.

It's wherever there is too much money...it's in Vegas too as Gaudin has morphed into a stealer.

Many So CA dealers attempt to buy extra allocations from all over the country for 15-25k over msrp. Similar to the .1RS, they frequently sell those cars at a hefty profit. The dealer mentioned above contacted me early in the .1RS production cycle to sell me an allocation at their "friends and family" price of 35k over! I politely declined...having purchased 8 cars from them in past 10 years. I thought I was being gouged. When that car arrived, another "private dealer" purchased it at 50 over msrp and sold it for 90 over in less than 48 hours!

This is the kind of hysteria we are talking about in some markets.

VIN's are ranging from 068 to 520 right now so that would be 450 for mostly September if they actually built all of those cars which I'm not able to verify.
Are you planning to create a database similar to that of what was done in the GT4 section? One of the members here was able to list all VIN's by color and transmission...would be interesting to see how many 991.2 GT3's actually hit North America.

Do you need help?

I know of at least one So Cal dealer who is sitting on open allocations asking $25k over. Maybe I can put them together and earn a commission?

I didn't actually help gmaki. That was all him. He did an incredible job with the GT4's. I intended to do the same for the RS's however it is just too much work. Just tracking the cars takes a lot of time let alone creating a database. I doubt I'll track the GT3's past September as there are so many. I'll try to do the 2RS's though.

If someone is serious about creating a GT3 database to share with the community let me know and I can help point you in the right direction.
