I don't work for IB (this is an un-paid volunteer position) and I don't take orders from them either. In fact, I often disagree with their representatives and bug them constantly to change / add features that I feel will make this a better forum.
What happens on the Corvette forum is up to the Corvette forum, I don't moderate that place.
When a hot topic spreads like herpes through a spring break party, we often stack them together like this until the dust settles. It doesn't happen often.
Once these are out in the wild, people actually drive one and can give first hand comparisons between the C8 and X Porsche, that will be a different story.Your tin foil hat is on a bit too tight again I see.
Buried? It's right out in the open. Buried would have been moving it to Off Topic where only paid members have access to.
As for my involvement in the Corvette world, I spent most of Sunday at the Corvette Corral at Road America since many of my old friends are in the local Corvette club (my father was President in said club in 73). I've spent several years pit-crewing for a small Corvette team managed by an old friend.
To insinuate my actions were in any way dictated by my love for Porsche and protecting the marque is a joke. You've contacted me before when you've had an issue with something around here, but not this one.......
I'm thinking you just like stirring the pot with this subject.

So why not merge them and leave them in the GT3 forum?
Why weren't all the pricing and ADM threads merged on this forum when everyone was screaming and kicking about them for over a year?
Why leave other non-Porsche brand threads on this board then?
Yes, I do believe there is selective moderating and politics involved in many of those decisions. The historical calls on many issues of the past clearly proves that. It is what it is. BTW a non-paid moderating job has zero to do with the way things get enforced here. Why keep pointing out that it's a non-paid position? It's your choice to do it or not. The responsibilities are the same.
Have a great day

Its amazing how so many people on RL love to complain about things.
If you don't like the thread, don't read it..... If you don't like the price, don't buy it...

in McLaren related content, the 570 Spider is due for first service so I may actually get to drive it again soon!
the SO has put about 2600 miles on it since last October. i've put maybe 100 of those on it...

I would love to see a graphics designer put a few lines to illustrate deeper.

Don't you want point, counter point, debates, disagreements?
It would be pretty boring to hang around people that agreed with everything I did.

I'm referring to the complaints of corvette and Mclaren discussions in a Porsche forum. I see no problems with it. Points, discussions, and counterpoints are perfect. No problem with that. Keep them coming and no deletions...

If anyone has ever paid any attention to my personal car collection, they'll see that the only rule is that I like cool cars. No other rules apply. Will probably keep the P1 forever, but anything else is potentially replaceable by a better version, more important version etc.
Unless I end up with what I consider pantheon cars, there will always be a newer GT3/LT or something that will be fun while its fun then gets sold.

Fair points CJ...the current GT cars from Porsche, Ferrari, and mac are amazing.
I love the current gen 991GT cars and I love the 991turbo s....have logged over 50k miles in them.
I need a mac in my future...the question is which one.

There are a lot of us long term Porsche guys who are enjoying Mclaren and it is great to have one thread here where there can be some Mclaren talk I find it very interesting hearing the chatter from fellow Porsche guys.
It's only one thread and it's clearly labelled so easily avoidable, please Mods do not move it

I suggest driving all of them that you are considering. Even then, it still may not be an easy choice.
