I'm trying hard to like it but just can't. Perhaps it will look better in person? Will reserve final judgement until then but right now I see kit car-like angles and proportions.
The stance (fender gap + wheel offset) has a lot to do with which pics look good and which don’t. Pics photoshopped to show improved stance look MUCH better. GM marketing sucks on many levels, one of which is presenting a brand new model with the worst possible stance imaginable even though a brand new height-adjustable coilover suspension is also being offered.
so now we are turning the McLaren thread into another C8 thread, I like corvettes and own one but surely enough is enough. its not that hard to find the C8 threads if you want to read/post about it. Lets leave this thread to talk about Mclarens, my 2 cents.
From someone who’s been a member on the CF forum for years, I can also state that threads comparing other rival cars to current Corvettes get moved almost immediately. What has happened here is no different IMHO, even though I’m not in favor of it.
There is lots of cross pollination between Porsche GT owners and Mclaren. McLaren LT cars are an evolution for Porsche GT addicts looking for a superior track driving experience - PERIOD.
And yes I'm faster on track in my 675LT than my 2RS - and that's likely because I'm scared of the 2RS and I'm not a pro race car driver that understands high aero rear engine cars. But I will continue to try and work to improve like most ppl on here that are simply hobbyists like myself - within the next month the 2RS will definitely be quickest for me as well.
But In all honesty, the 2RS is a $100k car on some expensive steroids and cup car parts that still feels meh but performs amazing. And the steering feel is **** like all other Porsche GT cars.
The 675LT is perfection. The whole time I'm driving it I'm reminded about how lucky I am to be behind the wheel of an object that truly makes me that happy. I'm seriously considering buying a second 675LT. Pls someone stop me 😉

‘Think you’re spot on with your driving assessment, and I think GT cars, and MAC’s are a good pair. Time will tell but so far highly satisfied with the 675LT.
