You could be right, what the cost of the replacement rotors from Mercedes?

Don’t know as I’m afraid to ask! lol

Aftermarket would be the way to go I’m sure. ST rotors?

This version isn’t coming to the USA according to the scuttlebutt on MBWorld forum, but even so I think it’s slightly more aggressive aero and minimal weight reduction. No increase in power. TBH it’s underrated at 577hp anyway. Has to be pushing out over 600hp at the flywheel.

Spoke to my dealer yesterday, I am temporarily in their favor by just having ordered a new 2019 G63. They said the AMG rep said that there IS a clubsport version coming in 2019, but it will not be called "clubsport". Also, Black is definitely on for 2020, and I am on the informal list for one even though the real list won't be populated until mid 2019.

Well that's good to hear. There is no Dealer Order Guide (DOG) out for the '19 yet even though the '19's are supposed to start being produced in July. Perhaps the non-clubsport, 'Clubsport' version will show up for the USA after all.

^ Yeah, I love the GTR, my plan is to by one real soon and then trade it in for a Black Series. Love what AMG has done with this car.

I love that GT350R sound. Even sane driving on public roads is a blast just for the sound.

Just heard from a new car manager over on MBForum that the ‘19 DOG has been out for awhile now with no changes for the GTR for the 2019 model year. I asked him specifically about whether a US CS ‘version’ might be coming. Will let you know what he says.

are you all joining the live chat room Q&A with the AMG team on the owners forum? Just ask them in the next session in two weeks.

wish it was that easy. They cannot comment on “future model” plans. Although, every once in awhile they will throw a bone.

FWIW: A serious time attack with a pumped up GT R will be made on the Ring during Grand Turismo Trackday (End of May).

Is this a factory effort or a tuner car? Pumped up by whom?

I've told Renntech if they fix the brakes and I can empty a tank without problems, I will take it home.

I have two dealers on notice I want the Black Series.

The GTR was pretty well (over) driven, but I did my own overdriving with SC kicking in plenty. I was LMAO, went to talk to the GTR driver and he said the brakes were getting a bit long.
PBIR is a brake killer, even on the RS but with ST rotors it was perfect. Renntech is playing with those rotors as well, add big *** calipers and some proper cooling and the AMG GTR Black series will be a blast.
I had some hopes of running a 1.22 but 1.245 in traffic is all I got. Still, even TBL was 1.23, it was just too hot and greasy. I've gone faster on Michelins ….

The AMG GTR (Black series) with some aftermarket Calipers and ST rotors will be a force to be reckoned with....

Wow that GTR absolutely lost you in the straights. Insane power.
