Fair point. Just not top of mind for me between the two but there are for sure some that want to stick with NA as long as possible.

I was in that boat - bought a lot of the last NA.

Ferrari's 488 has almost no turbo feel but their fit and finish has slipped at least in the V8's - would like to hear from some of the owners their driving impressions.

GT R seems to be a solid car in a number of ways. Seems like some of the guys here have both for different experiences. Some can’t get a GT3 so GT R is a great alternate.

Personally I’m a bit turned off of the games to get a GT3. So went and put a deposit on GT R, which scratches a few itches I’ve had for many years. When faced with the decision I’m not sure which way I’ll go because I don’t think I will do both. I love 911s but I’m open to other great cars too and brands that are easier to do business with.
I am totally with you on this. Every Porsche dealers I've spoken to has different story/"policy" for ordering a GT car. The inventories are filled with ultra low mileage GT4/3/RS for premium cost. Some bs stories dealers make up about giving allocations to selected customers is to avoid flipping. What a joke it is.

The whole system needs to be improved.. If Porsche truly wants a body for each car ordered than the only real solution is to allow individuals who are interested to make their intent known to PAG directly. PAG can select which dealership to complete the purchase.

Purchasing behavior is changing rapidly and companies like Porsche will suffer greatly should they chose to ignore their customers wants and needs.

Placing a deposit on a GT-R this week with no BS games..

I'll add more to the flame. I contacted a couple MB dealers yesterday where I don't have a deposit. Heard back from one so far. Sales Manager was straight up in asking when I wanted the car by and let me know he can't meet the timeline because there are X people in front of me. Very low number by the way. I can't for the life of me get that kind of straight answer from a Porsche dealer.

Nice!

You're probably looking at an allocation after April 2018.

Apparently Canadian production is supposed to ramp up as time goes on. Will see.

Please do. Keenly interested. Though not sure it makes sense for me to flip dealers unless I can have deposit in two places.

Default Just got this green monster

First impressions after 150 miles - I don't miss the GT3 PDK. So much power - it's silly. Steering is precise, gearbox is very quick. This car is a handful in the wet. Can't wait to take it to the track.
