So I was unable to get an allocation for a 991.2 GT3, and didn't want to wait for 12-18 months to finally get one at MSRP as my trade's value was essentially falling off a cliff; ('15 Z06/7). Hence I purchased the car above. I was going to order one to my specs, (although best time frame there was around 4-6 months), but this car had all the required options; the deal made was awesome and when I actually saw the color 'live', I loved it. It does generate a fair amount of attention however:

I owned a 2008 AMG CLK BS and it had one of the most glorious exhaust notes ever; very ‘Nascar’ like! lol

Looks badass. I dig the bold color. If you don't mind sharing, what was the price compared to MSRP?

My 2018 GTR
Have the GT3 RS and the GTR ...the Mercedes is a fantastic sports car with an amazing exhaust. You can do no wrong with either one of those cars.

Your GTR looks awesome! I think you’re in the same province as I’ve seen that pic on MB forum. Presume you’ve put he car away for winter?

I have a deposit on a GTR in case Porsche doesn’t come through. Would be great to hear one in person!

Nice, and I do like the color! I expect that this time next year you'll be posting a side by side with your new ZR1. 😊 Look forward to your assessment of the GT R after a few months of ownership.

What's the spec on these medical cars? Sounds quite a bit wilder than stock

MSRP minus wheel/tyre insurance; enclosed transportation of my Z07 to them and the GT R to me, and I was reimbursed, (by a further discount off of MSRP) for my return airfare to come and look at the car and sign the papers. Lastly I was given $62K on trade-in allowance when most other offers were mid-high $50Ks. It was such a fantastic deal there was no way I was going to turn it down.Bish

Wow that is a sweet deal. Does that mean outside of the metro markets (i.e. SoCal, NorCal, NY, etc.) there are GTRs to be had at sticker or potentially lower? I didn't give much thought to one, but was curious as to the market conditions on these things.
