What a great thread! I read it front to back.

My first post and happy to be hear.

I am confident, all going well with my personal circumstances, that the GT2 RS is in my future.

I have been a V8 Ferrari guy for a while and the latest GT3 RS and GT2 have caught my attention and brought me back to the Porsche. Here is my .02:

- From what I know it will be a June unveil with deliveries starting in December.

- I think the car has to be as fast on paper and on the ring as its main competitors/rivals. Porsche can't afford not too... let's face it, whilst I love the look of the RS models, Ferrari, McLaren and Lambo have some serious lookers, not to mention draw more attention.

- The car can't have less performance and be priced the same as a 720s or a 488 Speciale (when it comes out). So crazy performance and high price tag or a much lower price point of around £175k (GBP) is what i believe. Even the Performante is less than £200k.

- What is with the venting in the bonnet/frunk of the mule pics? Something special there maybe?

I am hoping for 700hp and a price of £175k base

I would love to ask a few questions:
1) Does one likely need to buy an aftermarket exhaust for proper audio enjoyment? If so what is the best option?

2) Will the car come with a car cover or can one be purchased?

3) What will be considered must have options for such a car? I imagine club sport pack, 918 buckets, anything else?

Great to be a member of the forum

Yeah Ferrari gives you a nice car cover and battery tender...Germans don't believe in such frivolity

They don't give you either, because they assume you don't need them with a Porsche because you'll be driving the Porsche at least 2-3 days every week, vs 2 days a month with the Ferrari.

I am huge fan of Capristo. I met Antonio Capristo a few times and toured the factory while my car(s) were worked on. Been really pleased with the results and the custom manifolds and exhaust build quality have been excellent.

The sounds produced by their exhausts are awesome. The last few systems have had reconfigurable valves which give you city, motorway and race options, for sound control and (noise) comfort).

Would fitting a non oem exhaust affect the long term value of the car?

I am trying to make it out to Goodwood. Will the car be unveiled from the start (Thursday) or on a specific day?

Looks so awesome. Excited to see final release and information on the car. Should be a real lap time crusher.
