Can you share how you can be so certain of this ?

Latest info/rumour I had was they would build 800 total, limited by production/Euro 6 constraints, this torpedoed my expectations of a second production run of 2019 model year cars build at the end of 2018 and then more built during first half of 2019 with a total production of around 2500 units.

Because Porsche is a FOR-PROFIT corporation. You honestly don't think they don't know that allocations are being pedaled for $150k-$200k over here in the US? They know they can sell a few thousand in the US alone.

Hi, i went through all the thread. Im a lucky futur owner of a GT silver 2RS weissach, build january delivery february. Thx god didnt had to pay any price over the sticker.

i wanted to share infos i got by reading and grabing infos where i could.

My porches sales rep mentionned to me around 1000 cars, this model seems to have been presented to the network as a obviously a quite limited production.i cant sell the car during one year.
Didnt signed anything yet about not reselling this car maybe i will never sign anything but as i understood they needed to share quite a lot of infos and motivate this quota allocation.
I simply understood aswell that of this deal would be broken the dealer and myself would never get special cars anymore...

Later i have heard about 2000 cars by a friend in luxembourg that got the turbo SE and also an allocation for gt2rs. 1000 for EU 1000 for ROW

More recently the debate was around the capacity of the factory to produce cars VS the production window..
so far it s look like the window could be November to august ?
i have read that Porsche can make at least 100 gt2 per month ?
so i think the right number is around 2000.

I was told that my November 2018 build will be a 2019 model year. I think the PTS page addition is a signal of the 2019 GT2RS model.

I had a call from a porsche dealer friend who has a customer from Dubai who offers to buy my car for 150 000 euros in addition to the purchase price. He made me the transfer of 150 k this day. I refused... It's not easy ahah

How are you (or your dealer) able to know your build date so far out? My dealer won't know his fall 2018 allocations until the summer break of 2018.

No idea. I have an allocation for that build date. The order won't lock until the '19 ordering system is final (which it may now be given the appearance of PTS). Perhaps your dealer has all of its allocations already.

I just haved the info from my dealer in south of France that the PTS color for GT2 RS and exclusive manufacture option (special marking or request in/outside of the car etc...) is open now!

Now it is hard to decide, i have two beautiful options in my head for exterior PTS but i like also my actual spec with standard color, the only problem is that PTS color choice will make the delivery date in SEPTEMBER 18 VS February 18....

Just curious, did your dealer give you a V070 order request status and not a V200 if your order is almost a year from now correct? Or your dealer accepted your deposit and or, gave you the typical dealer Purchase Order receipt for your allocation?
