That GT2 with a ducktail doesn't look half bad.

Odd story. My GT3 manual for Euro Delivery was cancelled at last minute, was supposed to pick up this week in Leipzig. Porsche called to apologize and such. I stated that if and when I get my GT2, I would love to do ED but not have it cancelled! Oddly, they saw an order for a GT2 in my name...so my order is in the system at least, just need to get it confirmed by the top dogs. Since I don't have a 918, I'm not holding my breath. Yellow with black would be nice.

Yes, that's probably my biggest question. How long does it last in the real world, and what effect on power does it have if it runs dry?

AP and Walliser said at Goodwood that the 5 liter water tank will last at least 3 laps on the Ring on a hot day.
That translate to like 20 mins of run time, around the same as most run sessions on track days.
On a normal day, the water might not even be used at all as the intake temperature might stay below the cut off point.
If on a hot day and the tank run dry during a session, then the ECU just pull timing to adjust for the higher intake temperature.

Timing refers to how soon the spark is created in the cycle (doesn’t change firing order of the 6 cylinders). Pulling (retarding) timing results in less than 700hp. I imagine that the ECU could also lower boost when temps demand. The water helps to produce the full 700hp even in difficult conditions.

I don't care about the water. I don't care about not getting the roll bar. Well, actually I do but I know that problem is easily solved. Just put the damn mounting plates in the car so we have a safe way to mount a roll bar.
If they're so worried about liability, as has been communicated, maybe they should consider the liability created by offering a safe and secure mounting solution for ROW cars but not for U.S. cars. What Porsche lawyers seem unable to grasp is that if some "victim" wants to sue them, they will regardless of whether mounting plates are in the car or not. I mean honestly, they produce a +200mph car that they advertise by bragging about it's sub-seven minute time on the most dangerous track in the world. Do they really believe that not installing mounting plates will somehow indemnify them against some self-serving U.S. lawyer??
End of the day, they should do the right thing to keep their U.S. customers as safe as their ROW customers.
