I get dizzy watching the video. Insane how driver and car can put such a lap together. The speeds were simply incredible. E.g. Barely below 200kph over the Flugplatz crest is mindboggling on road tyres.
I am puzzled about the max speed on DH though. Mark Webber had apparently done 336kph whereas this car 'only' managed 312 into the compression. I presume the difference is due to the 336 being done without a preceding hot lap so the Turbos work much better?

"While Porsche says the 911 GT2 RS has established “a new record for road-approved sports cars,” let’s keep in mind the street-legal McLaren P1 LM did a lap of the Nurburgring earlier this year in only 6 minutes and 43.2 seconds. There’s also the fully electric Nio EP9 with a lap time of 6:45.9. That being said, we should point out both the McLaren and Nio are not exactly regular production cars, since the former is limited to five cars whereas the latter was made in 16 examples (6 for company investors and 10 for customers)."

They already have offers above MSRP for.........wait for it........ $200K over
I told them I'll take all 4

Mark Webber stated that it was 336km/h @ Speedometer. Usually 7-10km/h error at that speed.
Maybe he had some wind at that time.

Holy smokes, at MSRP and what this car have attained the best Nurburgring lap time record, it now have become an instant collector's car. Other cars selling at this price point makes the GT2RS a bargain.

I have been thinking.
Had i bought a 918 spyder and paid $918k.
I could have bought:
991RS and flipped it for 100k over sticker.
991R and flipped it for 100k over sticker.
991GT2RS and Flip it for 100k over sticker.
Then flip 918 spyder for 200k over sticker.
Not a bad way to make $500k.
