Not surprised. I have a 991 GT3 and 991 Turbo S. The Turbo S has the GIAC/Champion Stage 4 upgraded turbo/meth injection kit. Everything else stock including the crap PZero N0 tires. Took it on a fast track it was absolutely bonkers. Couldn't even imagine on equivalent tires. My GT3 is like a Miata in comparison.
May I ask: was the meth kit to lower IAT, because your S was overheating? or was it simply a safety measure to prevent knock at high rpms?

The car is bonkers. 0-60 in 2.3 seconds and 0-100mph in 5.3 seconds on a poor airstrip surface on daily street tires. 1/8 mile mph over 110mph, 1/4 mile over 140 and 1/2 mile over 170. Does the 1/2 mile quicker than a 918, virtually any street bike, or 1,000+ wheel HP GTR/Lambo. Got lots of vids doing that in my old 997.2 Turbo S. My 991 is even quicker/faster.
Cheers.

Hi. The meth injection system is not required with this upgraded turbo kit, which includes Champion hardware: 68mm stock frame VTG turbos catless exhaust, intercoolers and diverters with a GIAC tune. Others are tracking with this kit without meth. I added a methanol injection fuel system (uses a fuel cell, steel braided lines, aircraft grade fittings - just as safe as the stock fuel system) for more power as I participate in 1/2 mile airstrip races with this car. And yes logs show drop in IATs for sustained WOT pulls. Meth also stabilizes the fuel pressure since this kit puts the power level close to the top of the factory fuel system. I can turn meth on and off and change settings from a hidden controller in my center console. The fuel cell pump and meth lines are also hidden in the trunk behind a black carpeted panel.

Congrats to Porsche and the entire GT team!! This world record I am sure will not do anything to suddenly stop the interest in this car so hopefully Porsche can look into building another run of this time machine for folks wanting it!

Out of curiosity, may I ask how many do you anticipate (since US dealers cannot officially order them yet) receiving for delivery at your dealership?

Who's the driver? All those guys look like they come from the same mold. 5'6" and 140 pounds. Very efficient. The guy even shaved down like an olympic swimmer.
