This isn't official news, but here is an article of Yesterday (September 20th) Porsche tests on the Nordschleife, to beat an under 7' .

Gurney anyone? I can't tell if the wing is shaped like that or its a huge Gurney but I don't remember seeing it at Goodwood.
Agree with Signes - no gurney, just more curve.

Question for you is who you gonna run with if you get one? other street cars won't have a chance. you'll have to go hunting 991 Cups....

I'd imagine local track days will be like west side story ACR-Extremes vs Actually Tracked GT2RS

A GT2RS doesn't seem likely for me, more 918 VIPs then GT2RS at my dealer.
By the time it would be on the radar I think the new 991.2RS will be out, or coming my way.

I really don't need more downforce in the rear.
With such little power in 991.1RS I am adding the rear diffuser, already have a little Gurney..
Will be testing with 19" R7 / slicks soon just to have something new to play with this winter.

For max competition on track a fully cheated out GT4 seems to be the new weapon of choice...

don't think you'd be happy with GT4. stick with RS.

That's a good point, because i've felt against a GT4 Cup on the Nordschleife with my manthey RS, and let me say it was such a fight!
Incredible efficiency.

If anyone around here should get a 2RS it should be you, imv. Maybe you should send a nice letter to PCNA with your track log and a link to your videos. I know they keep a few allocations for special cases. I'd sign a petition for you. Like it or not social media is an important factor nowadays that these companies need to look at.

I'm not sure what he can/will do with PCNA as the cars are their allocations to use. I'm sure he could help more in Europe.

Your right!
I just don't miss stuff like that ; so, I think, they just recently slipped that option into the configurator.
