If Porsche decided that 620-650 hp was not enough, it would make a lot of sense to add electric to the front axles as it solves a bunch of issues for them...
drivability improves as the electric will fill in and mask any high boost turbo lag with instant torque (like 918, P1, LaFerrari)
better traction under acceleration in order to get the power down.
potential for "city" or "stealth" mode under pure electric with zero emissions
better weight distribution
Downside is increased weight and complexity...and perhaps some steering feel.

Would be great to see Porsche push the limits with the 991 GT2 RS, with focus on track use with weight loss and little concession to road niceties. 650-700 hp would be good too.
Starting to run out of garage space with 991 RS, 997 GT3 and 991.1 TTS there but will make room for such a beast.

there should be an easy way to increase the capacity of the current PDK box if even necessary - are there any issues at tuned 991 Turbo and TurboS?

Yes guys running 900-1000hp+ in 991 TT(S) are either using manual or blowing up PDKs. Cooling issues, non serviceable and no clutch pack upgrades.

The competition (couple years old now and even older with GT2 RS release) already has 675hp (F488 and 675LT).
