I and several people I know got warranty replacements denied because "the pucks cracked from overheating the brakes during the track use, as evidenced by melted dust boots." My dust boots melted before I even tracked the car first time, though... It's just a bad design with those pucks. Also, having to take off the caliper to remove pads is annoying.

Also, OEM pads cause cracking more than other pads it seems.

It'd be nice if someone just made those little ceramic
puck replacements... they are just attached via a center screw.

It's a shame PAG doesn't offer them or, at least, pistons separately

I'm among those who were denied.

Just replaced with the stainless steel pistons. The calipers were fine.

Thank you! Are dust boots also available to buy? Or stainless pistons don't need them?

Fwiw on my gt3 I removed oem pads immediately and only used pfc11, ds1.11, and me20. Zero cracks almost 3 years later

On my gt4 I did a few days on oem and pmu cr pads and the pucks cracked.

I am convinced the cracks are due to tapering.
Oem and pmu pads taper
Use pads that don't taper and I'll bet no more cracks

My pucks cracked even with pfc11 and ds1.11 pads. So maybe the pads are a factor, but still an issue with the puck design?

Damn. Well there goes that theory.
What color are your pucks?
They are white on my gt3 and yellow on the gt4

Did you run the OEM pads for a period of time?
