Looks like 991.1 GT3s are good investment for right now.
I''m sure that resale value of 991.1GT3 will go up with that warranty extension.

It literally was the only negative on these cars. Take that away and you are left with an amazing car in every way.

Brake pucks are another issue with this car. At least with iron brakes.

I have absolutely no problems with iron brakes. ma45b brake pads and you forget about brakes for long time. The only issue that need an attention is CL hubs and nuts. To replace them every 15000 km doesn't look good. Other then that it is an amazing car and the best car for the track with no doubt

I am secured a build slot for a 991.2 early 2018 at MSRP, after missing out on first allocations due to ADM here in California. Purchased an excellent .1 '16 with a G engine nicely spec at a fair price of 10% below original MSRP. Now with the extended 10 year warranty on the .1, with the newer G engine, this car's warranty will be 4 years longer than the warranty of the .2 on the engine part with the only known mechanical failure in these cars. This causes pause about upgrading to a .2 or as an option waiting for the 992 GT3 most likely in 2020. In 2020 if I sell this car, it will still have 6 years remaining on its warranty. That really is truly remarkable.

And this Rennlist sponsor looks to have Titanium piston puck replacements (though not listed yet on their website, that I could find):

^^ yes Gavin told me in January that they have them ready for when they break.

So far, so good on mine.

Thank you!

I have pucks cracked on all 4 wheels now AGAIN.

I really hope PAG will replace calipers under warranty, as it already happened with my car and some of my friends 991 GT3s.

But it's good to know there is a way now to replace pistons without replacing the calipers.

Iron brakes on 991.1 is a major disaster.

Which pads have you been using? Seems that some (like RE10) are kinder to the pucks than others...

Dumb question --

what is "the original in-service date" ?

is it the original sale date of the vehicle or the date that the new engine is installed?
