Do the Husky badges leave a hole when you remove them? I just want to clarify what you mean by "unsnap". Thanks!

My garages are too small... GT3 has to park outside.

So do any of you have nice sound systems in your garage? Any fun stuff?

The concrete polishing has been completely re-done. It was a huge, dusty job that I would NEVER repeat!

The good thing is the floor is remarkably flat, stain resistant and exceptionally durable. Time will tell if it was worth the effort.
Not for the feint of heart or budget challenged!
As they say, pictures - or it didn't happen.

Immense amounts of dust and hours and hours of grinding. My concrete cured exceptionally hard...

There are five floor drains, power for lifts, air and other floor mounted items plus eight power receptacles in the floor for battery tenders. They complicate things as it takes extra time to keep the finish remotely consistent..

Did I mention DUST?

Tomorrow I should have some finished product snaps.

The guts of one of the three grinders and vacuum systems...

These projects are not all pretty - Lilac scented Unicorn farts and glitter, there is quite a bit of decision making, sweating and toil... Building today is a big undertaking with many hurdles, workarounds and complications. Sugar coating this process (even with a great contractor) is not for me.

Everything was washed and cleaned several times before the application of the two types of sealers.

Regarding the company performing this under warranty? Its called stepping up...

Salute'
This looks amazing, I always wanted to do polished concrete but never had solid surface to work with. So far have done paint, pro epoxy and now swiss track. Which seems to be the best so far..If we move again, hopefully can try what you have done. Just amazing

All that grinding, all those hours, the diamond grinding bits, all that dust, and yes, a fair chunk of change and the floor looks Ok, but not great. It has unicorn rainbow stripes in it from the grinders.

So, it's over, no more polished concrete.

The company would do it over, but I do not have time for them to return in a few weeks if/when they have an opening to (possibly) finish it to my taste.
The dust at that stage would be impossible to deal with.

Since I was using unicorn metaphor while being a smart ***, It fits when I'm eating crow...

Reluctantly, I'm going with epoxy.

On the good side of the equation, here is the flooring going down in the Office, Bar, Kitchen, Bathrooms, Beekeeping room, Entertainment area, Staircase and Hallways.

All of the windows and door frames are finished out and the painters are hard at it!

You can have the world’s best epoxy put down by the world’s best installer and it will still peel up and discolor.

I have heard urea is better, but much more expensive. Anyway, just be ready for the brown spots and peeling with epoxy.

No peel or brown spot issues with polyurea in one of my 3-car garages.

I think urea is the way to go with coatings. Do you have pictures of yours? I’ve been thinking about doing it to my garage. Is it really thick?
