Been out of town most of the last two weeks and when I checked in yesterday they had two guys just starting to run the grinders for the floor polishing. They start with #30 grit diamond cutters (two passes) then they do two more passes with #50 grit diamond cutters. Tomorrow they will be applying two coats of their proprietary sealer (which I can't scratch with a metal scraper). The fresh concrete polishes to a salt and pepper aggregate and I believe it will be quite attractive.
Nice work. Two passes is more than enough as you should remove only around 0.1-0.2” You don’t want the floor to be too slippery, etc.
Here is a shot of mine from 4yrs ago, you can see 4,500 sq.ft. section from this angle but because of CC&R I had exterior architectural constraints so everything is angled; another 2,000 sqft on the side. I cured my concrete 30 days under water, the floors came out good.
If @928 GT R has a 31' ceiling, here's a piece of cool art on BAT . It's from the special Porsche display they had at the Peterson Museum Porschespire on BAT

Kevin,
That PorscheSpire is totally cool! I only have 23' 8" at the peak so I'm out of business unless it can be sectioned... Actually talked to my builder and he thinks he could cut a clear space up into the trusses, paint the clear space black and create interesting lighting options.

Gorgeous garage and result. Your architect created a great looking structure. I had a much more attractive aesthetic design in one of my proposals but opted for a more conservative look to make it fit into the area. Sometimes I think I should have gone for a little more "Pizazz" certainly yours looks fantastic!
Regarding the concrete and polish. My team did not cure the concrete under water for 30 days and I can see the lack of extended curing time in the polished finish. There is a barely visible "Dry Cracked" pattern discernible because the surface dried a bit before it cured. It can be seen if you look for it after grinding and polishing. As regards slipperiness, the team leader is putting fresh #50 grit cutting disks on the the final pass. He assures that this will give me the appropriate grip or coefficient of friction for the floor (even when wet). I have to trust his probable knowledge against my certain ignorance... ;-) The good thing about this company is they guarantee the results and if it is not to my liking they will re-do it.
Here´s my build which I started last July. I´m in the final stages meanwhile...lots of thoughts and lots of work, but also a pleasure every time I step inside
Congrats on thinking about the floor hoist before concrete slab pour..... Its these details that make a space work (unless your @928 GT R ) unless you have very few restrictions!!
LOVE IT!

Contact them directly for your free garage! Note-all cars have already gone to the new house Pics of THAT garage to follow.
Here are some lower garage pics. Lower garage is just under 1000sf with flush mounted Bendpak full rise scissor lift, air, welding, heated, workshop, epoxy floor. Takes my F150 and Futura trailer no problem. Upper garage on main is 4 car double tandem.
