It is a 2015 with 4600 miles, about 1/2 on the track. First went into limp mode, it cleared after turning the car off and the next day got the check engine. Had no problem at all having Suncoast do the fix on Porsche's dime. they did the DME update at the same time. Apparently it is the same as the RS according to the mechanic. Don't know why they call it DME and not ECU? They have no idea why the engine blew. It is being sent to Germany and, with a little bit of help from Suncoast, the engine is being replaced...with certain caveats.

Your 2015 was not on the recall list, correct? And they did the DME/ECU update anyway? How did you get them to do that? It seems like some dealers are only doing what is being asked to be done by Porsche directly in the system.
I was told my car had the following recall notices:
1). A line on the axle lift needs to be tightened
2). Ecu reprogram to account for 6k mile oil change rather than 10k

No coil pack.
Have they diagnosed the problem yet? Did you take it to Stead?
Just had the plugs and coils replaced and throttle body re-calibrated. Part of the campaign. Seems as though the idle is a little less lumpy. Otherwise fun as usual...

Reason: clarification
Joe ,
got the car back yesterday completed 12k service done early with 11k on car
TSB on front lift already addressed last summer , no other TSB from PCNA on my car a 15 m/y built
10/14, pulled a oil sample with change going to lab next week . mine was the first 12k service
according to Tech they have done and they have sold well more than 20 new GT3's. Tech said motor
and running gear looked all good ,
These original plugs have lots of laps and are in great shape very happy, they saw lots of run ups to 9k
The 12k service is extensive go thru my cost a little more than 1k with a 10% discount and skipped the $100 wiper blade change
as well red thread starting to fray/unravel on steering wheel -replaced from factory with new under warrantee

Good news. Hope to see/hear the same with mine. Thanks for sharing!

Great update. Plugs look really nice. Have 12k service on mine (now 26 months old) on 12 Jan at 10.5k miles, 12 track days etc. hope it goes well like yours...

Interesting. I was in for spark plug replacement due to mileage just over 2 months ago, and I did not get #2. I did 4 oil changes in 11K miles, so 6K or 10K warning is irrelevant to me :-).

I did not get the #2 update either , that was my 3rd oil X in 11k
car runs the same, GREAT ,
The car is back. New coil packs and spark plugs. The plugs looked to be in good shape. Car is running fine as of now and will be tested at Laguna this weekend.
