Who would you recommend to make the turn away pipes?
Competition Autowerks in San Ramon made mine

Joe. No updates for ages. I assume track time has been limited or just not much more to report? What are your road and track mileage totalling on this car now?

Lol, has it been THAT long?

11,000 miles on car. Needs spark plug change. The car is not on the recall list for new plugs, so I'll have to take care of that this winter.

3,300 track miles on the car. 1/2 way to needing to replace the center lock hubs!

I wasn't planning to head out to the track anymore this year, but my buddy showed up with a new viper ACR and now we're going to Laguna Saturday to see what it can do.

Took off the dunlops and mounted a new set of cup2. My 7th set of tires this year....!

Keep in mind that those tires were eaten up by 3 people, not just one. Lol!

I have not kept up with the thread but does it make any sense to use SP2 in front and Dunlops in rear, I seem to be going through rears faster than fronts?

Which tires? For me, the rear trofeoR wore much faster than the front. However, with the cup2 and dunlops, the fronts wear much faster than the rear

Had the same experience with my 19" Dunlops on the GT4. Got about 20 HCs and the front outsides started cording. I got Cup2 (255/295) installed today.

Thanks mate for the update. Hasn't been so long but I got lonely without your regular posts lol!

500 track miles per tyre set isn't so bad when you consider the pace you guys do and the experimenting with tyres of limited longevity....

I met a person with a new Viper TA. He hadn't yet tracked it but has a friend (Darrell, a motorcycle stunt rider) that ran 1:28 at Laguna with his new ACR. That's flying!

Joe -

I did some checking on the viper forum. His name is Darius and he ran a 1:33 not a 1:28.

Joe! How was Laguna today? Weather looked to be bright sunshine all day - albeit cool temperatures. I was really tempted to drive down and say hello. If only to see the new Viper. ;-)
