You are all missing the point I want to know now
1. What have they found so far.
2. How can they be sure they have found root cause
3. What's the fix.
Then as stakeholders we will feel better and give them the space they need to fix it.

Let me have a try.
1. 2 engines have failed
2. They haven't found the cause, despite looking everywhere.
3. They'll tell you when they find the cause.

I'm sorry, but I'm not reading anything positive in the CEO's statement. It's as vague as all statements prior, as mhh mentions. And I don't want to be pessimistic, but, regardless the fix, I really don't expect any, let alone all our cars to be back on the road in April.
So I'm trying to look at the bright side, despite by frustrated to bits by this saga, which started here in the Middle East with our cars being delivered 6 months later than confirmed. I don't want to rub salt in anybody's wounds, but the only silver lining to me personally is that I decided to keep the Speciale and sell the GT3 (prior to this debacle), instead of vice versa. Sure, I probably would have made a lot of money selling the Fiat, but then I would have been left with a nice bank account and no new cars by this time. And would have missed a (Ferrari) track day at the Dubai Autodrome tomorrow!
The sad story is, similar to the delayed delivery issue over here, that my biggest frustration is not the wait. Trust me, I can live with that. It's not that I, or anybody else here, I reckon, need to use public transport now to get from A to B. By far the biggest frustration is the absent / fluffy / unreliable / self-centered communication from Porsche!

This is not good news. I really feel bad for those who have already paid for the car. I on the other hand, have only sacrificed a deposit for an allocation. I was so excited about this car and confident that PAG would have resolved or at least been more communicative with those who already dished out and took delivery. I have always loved Porsche. When my business took off, the first gift to myself was my dream car, a new 997 GT3 (I was 26 at the time). Failures and fires happen. It's understandable. But the way Porsche mishandled this has left a sour taste in my mouth. I have been refunded my deposit and am going over to Ferrari early next week to order a new 458. **** happens but we shouldn't be ****ted on.
Good luck to all! I hope you get your cars soon!

from the Bloomberg article: "“We know the reason and the problem-solving measures,” Chief Executive Officer Matthias Mueller said today at a press conference near company headquarters in Stuttgart, Germany. “We’re testing them.”

If it's going to take a few months, I think the appropriate compensation for those that have already received delivery of their cars is a full refund, plus they get to keep their fixed cars for free.
You guys in the US have probably heard of class action suits. I predict some happening on this issue, but not sure if the class is large enough to be certified.
